Description

This was a case and water cooling upgrade from our previous ICEMAN build. Our buddy and good customer watched many ARES, POSEIDON, and MARS systems being built and felt he needed an upgrade. He chose the Core P5 to showcase the water-cooling system and his components. To make it stand out even further we came up with the idea of wrapping it in white carbon fiber! Overall I think it came out looking very clean.

The case is great for people who want a showcase piece at a much cheaper price point than say the Lian Li's or Inwin like models. Overall it was pretty painless to put together, besides trying to remember what screws went where LOL. My only complaints are the fact that the panel is plexi glass and not tempered glass, this may be how its so inexpensive though, and that the mounting panel was very flimsy when not fully assembled as the case. Again that may be to make it affordable. I will have to say though, fully assembled it was very sturdy and solid.

I hope you guys like the changes, its been a while since we've been on here due to shows and Such. It was awesome btw meeting some of you in person at the PAX shows and Dreamhack! If there are any questions please feel free to ask below.

Hmm. Interesting choice with the mounting of the GPU, and the lack of I/O shield makes me cringe a bit, but my god I love that cable management.

I really don't like the case it just doesn't seem practical and i have never seen anyone fill it up with enough components so that it would be practical. But it is a nice loop so +1

When you build a work of art like this...do you leave the case open all the time, as it is in the pictures? Is it mostly for taking to gaming workshops and fairs? I'd like to see some pictures of it set up along with the rest of your rig, in your "battlestation". Looks amazing, nice job.

Damn that is clean!

My only critiques would be to remove the branding from the PSU as the orange throws it off. I would have liked to have seen fully sleeved cables and not just extensions as the runs arn't very long. (however this is the least noticeable item)

Also I would try to straiten those Vardars fans. And perhaps try to route each fan cable strait behind the radiator for each one. The way they are currently managed is a little bit distracting.

Lastly, I'm curious why you went with a black mini valve? Is it to not draw attention to it. I only ask because the rest of your fittings are nickle and white. Personally, I find drainage solutions in loops to be one of my favorite aspects.

Hope you don't mind the critique! Beautiful build.

An awesome build from an awesome person. Take a well deserved +1 :)

Edit:

Seems that the comp is only for American residents over 18... Rip Australia :(

You have a white and blue theme, but you have a black PSU (I do understand getting a white PSU is VERY difficult). Could you paint the exterior (of the PSU) white or blue? It would look really one of a kind if you could do that. Anyways, very beautiful build, and I appreciate the fact that you chose the Titan X over the 980 Ti. Thank you for that! +2 if I could.

One question. How or what part did you use to have the graphics card parallel with the motherboard? If I could do that with my upcoming build, I would absolutely spend the money to have the water cooling on display.

Great look build. Screams quality.

Hey I dont know if I still get an answer but one question what is this EX custom stuff? Some of them are parts of a watercooling but what do I need to know if I want to get something like this? So when which part? :o Also GREAT build, would love to have something like that.

Hey man just message me with what your trying to do and with what parts, ill tell you all the watercooling you need to know :)

  • 1 point

Woa its great to still get an answer! Your build is sick! Ehm I am about to build a pc and style is a important part for me and your pc nailed it! https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Rw6FKZ //This are kinda the parts I want to use (and the gtx 1080 zotac amp extreme edition) minimum, but I will change a lot of them like the mainboard because of the style, for example a white mainboard. I never used a watercooling system but I have the time to learn everything to know about it and I started to watch some videos, how to build them.

So short: I try to have a great gaming pc, with a great style like your build!

Do you have the rad fans intake or outtake, and if I do a build in this case or one similar to this one would it be better to add one of these (I would paint it of course) https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835888309&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-PCPartPicker,%20LLC-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

Hey man,

I have the Fans blowing out through the rad and the back of the case. I do t really see any need for that item, especially if you watercooled.

Thanks
