Description

It is my first time building a PC and it was a great experience(If you've made it to POST). This build is for Gaming and Game Development as well.

Parts are chosen mainly because of aesthetics, reliability based on reviews, and future expandability.

I did go with Black theme with white accents as I am planning to add some LED strips later on.

I originally plan for a white S340, but the elite version came. The internal color scheme of the White S340 have changed. Before, it was a mix of black and white but it is pure white now in the elite that's why i opted for the black one.

Good sounding build indeed. Any specific reason to go for ATX mid or was it really because it isn't needed to go full ATX?

Hhmm, what I can say is that I want it to be minimal, on budget, and not to extreme for my first build. :)

Here is a link for some backplates for your GPU, it would go good to you build. They are world wide shipping by the way.

in my my board is MSI Z170M Micro ATX mortar my CPU is an i7-6700 and my GPU us a GTX 1070, would this be a good combo or should i upgrade my motherboard?

  • 1 point

Well, 1st.) why not a 6700k? 2nd.) yes thats a good combo

  • 1 point

Seems fine to me. One thing I would say though is to go for the 6700k because you have a Z170 board, meaning you can overclock. If you're going to stick with the 6700, just go for the MSI B150m Mortar, that way you can save some money. I recommend the 6700k, though.

I didn't. I left it for warranty purposes. That's how it work here in Philippines. :)

This is great, i'm just worried about the front IO hdmi port (the extra one on the top of the case for VR etc.), did you have a way of connecting that to the Krait Gaming motherboard? I was worried that my motherboard wouldn't be compatible with it and that it would just sit there.

It is just a pass-through(an hdmi expension). You can plug it at the back of the mobo, there's a hole at the side of the case. Sone Video card has hdmi port inside, you can plug it there too. It is for VR ease off access purpose.

How is the cooler in that case as im looking to use the same case and cooler in my new build :) just on the pics it looks like its not straight on the mobo as if its weighed down haha, nice build though :)

Hey quick question! I just picked up an H5 Ultimate for my rig to upgrade from the Evo 212. I currently have some Corsair Vengeance LED ram that will still be fine in the 2 & 4 slots, but I'm curious about if I wanted to add more ram... will the H5 interfere with the Corsair LPX like you have in the 1st slot? Just thinking of future upgrading years from now, wanna know whether I won't be able to use my front slot at all.

Thanks in advance for taking the time to lemme know!

Mainly budget issue, prices here in PH are crazy due to many markups. But what I mostly play are casual to midcore ranging from Rocket League and The Crew. So far, fans are not spinning (temp<60deg). Machine is for game dev also. 970 is the baseline for VR games and I may need to do some work on that and based on my research, 1060 sits on top of 970. :)
