Description

Here is my first proper build I have done from scratch. All components were purchased to run all new games such as Battlefield 1, Overwatch Etc to run at least 60+ FPS which it does. The building process was not difficult and there were no main issues when making this PC.

Looks great mate. The reflection of the blue LEDs really pop, almost thought it was some frosted glass shielding of some sort lol Great cable management though the case does help with that a lot. My only critiques are that you couldve gone for a 6600k for an extra $30 or less. For that price of ram you couldve got 16 gigs at a lower speed (ram speed doesnt matter much). Intel coolers really detract from build aesthetics and finally did you really pay $109 for the PSU?

Hello, thank you for the helpful feedback, its much appreciated. One of the reasons at to why I bought the 6500 is because I am not going to be looking to overclock and the prices between the 6500 and 6600k is quite big (In the UK) £50+ difference here. Also might be looking to upgrade to 16gb ram but for now 8gb seems fine. The PSU I bought was also about £60 which I think is about $74 :)

Wait, if you're not going to overclock, why do you have a Z170 board?

Because at the time it was currently on offer, so it was cheaper and suited well to this build, and its good to have just in case I would like to overclock in the future.

Ah okay that clears things up, there were two different currencies so I got confused. I regret that I was a little insensitive talking about the prices it donned on me right after posting. An appropriate decision to not overclock, though I mainly recommend the 6600k for its higher clock speeds without the bloated costs, but I guess that doesnt reciprocate in the UK. Yeah 8gb will be solid. Phew thats much better on the PSU :)

Dang! I really like the build, It's very similar to mine, right down to the desk setup and everything. Only difference is a couple parts and mine cost $70 more, but wow it's stunning how close our builds and setups are. Very nice build, much respect.

Nice! It's similar to my build, except I have an MSI video card.

As far as the comments about the stock cooler if you aren't overclocking you don't really need a different cooler (unless you just want it to look better).

Yeah, I was mainly thinking of getting a new CPU cooler for aesthetics, but I will probable get it on a later date.

I LOVE the black and blue theme it looks awesome. Very nice cable management and really good choice of parts. Just a suggestion try and put the cooler with the logo the right way up. I'm so jealous of your build!!

FINALLY a build that doesn't have an overused color.

Having an overused color doesn't mean the build is bad. Red and black builds are awesome, look at what is currently featured...

Who cares how many people use the color scheme, if it looks good then you're perfectly fine to use it. Don't dis people for it.

I'm not trying to talk ****, I'm just saying that there is finally a color that isn't so common.
