Description

I am using the corsair fan on the heatsink

At the moment i am really happy with this build but that nzxt fan is reallly starting to annoy me. I thought the corsair fan will be loud but the nzxt fan is unbelievably loud. The D-Link wireless receiver is super fast and it has an amazing range, i would recommend it to pretty much any one.

Part Reviews

CPU Cooler

I havent used the stock fan yet but the heatsink seems to be working well with my corsair sp120. I am betting much lower temps than i expected

Motherboard

Great motherboard, it has loads of nice features but the cpu power connector is in a stupid position ,the audio is not as good as msi makes it out to be, I have been having problems with speedfan on this motherboard and this board is rubbish for overclocking.

I paid good money for this motherboard but it didn't perform.

Video Card

This is a very good looking card and it is also very quiet

Case

This case is good but there are so many little details that i thing thermaltake missed out. For example there us no dedicated cut out for the cpu power connector, there is no support for 140mm fans at the front, there is only one gromit for the psu connectors so it was a challenge getting them all through that average sized Gromit, the front panel usbs are very low quality and i feel like there are going to break pretty soon but the rest of the case us fine.

Power Supply

The power supply hasnt exploded or burnt my house down so i guess it is alright.

Optical Drive

This is just a cheapo dvd burner nothing ,more nothing less

Wireless Network Adapter

This think is really fast and has very good range. I am getting very consistent download speeds unlike my old computer.

Case Fan

These perform very well but if you ramp up the rpm they can get very loud

Case Fan

Thse fans get their job done but they are so loud

Congratulations! Welcome to the REAL world of computers. I must warn you. After a couple months of having this, you will be wanting more (Especially if you go to the completed builds section and choose the option: Price - Highest first.)

Nice build! +1 :D

PS - Be prepared for Jipster to swing by!

V300 SSD'd from kingston have horrible performance. They don't do much better then a 5400RPM HardDrive

i have no regrets getting my fx 6300. my temps get up to 60°c running full load on OCCT. and thats all air cooled. gaming it doesn't go past 55°c. i had it up to 4.8ghz but my temps were getting wayyyyy too high during testing.

Great Rig i am an owner of a FX6300 and R9 270X too https://pcpartpicker.com/b/ZctJ7P

You will feel the difference if you change to a watercolling system. I have now 9 fans in my case, almost quiet and can play almost everything in High. So, we have good machines :-)

Congratulations!

Can't help but ask but did you build your system in the laundry room as per the purple and light blue basket!

I'm curious why you chose a 6300 over an i3 (for the same price) for a gaming PC. Never the less, this is a nice looking build. Love seeing big air coolers!
