Description

This was my first computer build. This one is really old. This PC is 5 years old already. It took me a long time to save up for this thing. I started saving up for all the parts in 2012 and finished in 2014. I built this PC when I was 7 years old with my dad. So sorry for messy cable management. The computer still runs very good. I use it for gaming and doing youtube videos. Also I might get a 1080p monitor for this PC soon. This old VGA 720p monitor I have is still good, but it has issues. My old GTX 660 Ti still runs strong and is good for 720p gaming. I wanna see how it does on 1080p.

Part Reviews

CPU

Very good CPU. It has lasted me 5 years without slowing down and stays cool most of the time.

CPU Cooler

Great CPU cooler that keeps my CPU at low temps.

Motherboard

Very good motherboard. Easy to overclock when I want to. It also has a BIOS that is easy to figure out to.

Memory

Fast and 16GB ram is all I need. I also never run out of ram with this.

Storage

Very fast SSD that can boot into Windows within seconds of starting the computer. It also opens programs faster than my HDDs.

Storage

Good for storing games and recordings.

Video Card

Very good GPU. It actually has more power to it than I thought it would. It could run some games in Ultra graphics settings.

Case

This case is a great full size case. Easy to install HDDs, SSDs, GPUs, Optical Drives, Motherboards and Case Fans. The issue with this is that two of the 2.5 cages broke when it arrived.

Power Supply

Very good PSU. Never had issues with it.

Optical Drive

Good Optical Drive to install operating systems and play games that run on CDs. Does its job well.

Operating System

The best operating system by Microsoft. This operating system also runs better than Windows 10 for me.

Case Fan

Good cheap LED fans for a computer case.

Monitor

Not exactly the best monitor. It had trouble showing the setup sometimes when I first installed Windows 7 on my PC. It sometimes would not even turn on or get any signal from the computer even though everything was plugged in correctly. I also made sure nothing caused it to be disabled.

Keyboard

Extremely good keyboard for 2010. Runs good 9 years later. The bad side is that is very expensive.

Mouse

This mouse has very nice LED and has lasted a long time without any issues.

Headphones

Great wireless headset and mic. It also charges fast and lasts long. Also awesome sound quality.

If you want an older build, they are pretty cheap. You can get an i7 2600k for 80 dollars and it still runs really good. I think the i7 2600k can handle the GTX 1080 at 4.8 GHz with some decent air cooling, but I recommend you use water for overclocking. I think it it also handle the RTX 2080. The GPU I use which I recommend for the i7 2600k is the GTX 660 Ti. Really good graphics card for its age. It can handle more than I thought honestly. For the GTX 660 Ti I recommend 720p on newer games. On older, 1080p will do fine. I think it can handle low and medium for 1080p. For 720p I think medium and high for most games. You can also get one for 80 dollars. The motherboards are like 100 dollars I think.
