Description

In addition to watching youtube and skyping family, she likes to play Overwatch and Diablo III. After seeing Bitwit's Hotline on youtube, she told me she wanted pink water cooling. So this past Christmas she got white coolant and RGB lighting to illuminate the coolant any color she chooses. And, yes, SHE built it......except for bending the tubes. It's x299 because both she and I had 8th gen setups, until both failed the SAME way within 2 weeks of each other.....lost half the RAM slots and ALL PCI-E lanes to the GPU.

When I was 5, my most expensive thing was probably a toy train. Not a $1500 Gaming Computer....

When I was twelve and told my mother I wanted to build a computer for Christmas her response was, "I'm not wasting that much money on an 'IF.'" I didn't want to do that to my daughter when she said the same thing after watching me build my last one. And in all fairness, her original build was originally a $300 bare minimum tower. She got upgraded when she started getting into the games she saw me playing.

no offense but this seems totally overkill for a 5 year old. I would understand if this was the sort of thing where you would build a basic computer together then upgrade it overtime, but this just seems way to over the top.

that's exactly what happened. she started with a 750 ti, and Pentium g4400. then went to a 950. then got upgraded to the i7 when I got my kaby lake stuff.

So you did a custom hardline watercooling setup in a PC for your kid......................

Talk about how many adults would be jealous of that lol. Your daughter is one lucky kid to get something this nice! Makes me remember my 486 laptop I got when I was a kid in the 90s.

There is a youtube channel called Dietec, he has tutorials on how to make backplates, from cheap ones to lit up ones. Don't need a 3D printer. Link to the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MBwfBCW9qZU

That video will actually help me. When I tell her we need to get a scroll saw, she'll jump at the 3D printer idea. lol

Five-year-olds shouldn't be playing video games rated for teenagers and adults. The ESRB gave them ratings for a reason.

The most violent thing about Overwatch is other player's salty behavior, I have never played Diablo III but from what I know of it, I agree with you there.
