I am mostly using this build to run emulators for me and my girlfriend to play on our TV. Runs everything really well but has a bit of trouble with Zelda BOTW in cemu which will only improve as it is optimized. The hardest part of this build was probably cable management.
Everyone else I've seen with this case has had a rats nest of cables and I wanted to at least keep the cables out of the way of the intake fan so that there's a nice big airflow channel and I think I did a good job of that. Runs great for everything we need it to do.
I have 2 random hdds that were laying around and the htpc has a total of 1.75TB.
It used to idle at 50c until I got the intake fan installed. A very good investment!
Best "Power per Dollar" processor on the market. Dual core with hyper threading. Stays very cool even with the stock cooler.
Layout is perfect for an HTPC case. Has every feature I could ask for.
It works and that's all that matters.
Great HTPC case. There aren't a ton of options for cable management but if you're smart about it you can keep things fairly tidy. I was able to use a non modular power supply and manage the cables so that none of the airflow from the intake fan was blocked. Please note that this case doesn't come with ANY fans so you will want to get one seperately.
It works great for what I'm using it for. Managed to use this in a mini ITX case and keep the cable's fairly managed.
It spins and glows red but I'll never see it.
