Description

I had few left over pieces left over from my previous build so the cost maybe a little skewed. I bought pieces over the course of a few months, so the cost is quite a bit lower than what is stated.

I got the case on a really good deal. I think it was less than $50. Finding it has 3 built in fans, I was even happier to find out that I could save some cash there. I want to eventually throw a few fans at the top to help the heat out. I seen pictures of the black model of this case and like it soo much more. But, got it on the cheap..can't be too picky I suppose.

I got the SSD for under 90 when watching a few deal sites. I seen a person say on a post that you will hate having an SSD because every other computer crawl in comparison. How true! Best part of the build. Love it!

The graphics cards is amazing. I had an issue with in making a horrible noise and hate the exchange it with NewEgg. Which, was INSANELY frustrating as I hate to wait nearly a month to get the final card. Had it for 3 days, love it. Crysis 3, Tomb Raider, BioShock all run wonderfully on it.

The monitor I also got cheap from a sale at Best Buy 6 months or so ago. Wanted a big Monitor to replace my dual 23' ones I had. Just didn't have the need for dual monitors any longer..Lot sick of starring at one and letting the other sit there looking sad.

The Keyboard I got when playing around on Amazon. Was looking at the G105 and seen the CoD themed G105 for 30 bucks cheaper. Threw some black electricians take over the ugly CoD logo and we're set. Plus, I like the green back lite color as well!!

The speakers I got maybe 5 years ago for Christmas and LOVE them.

Other than that, no complaints. Wish I had maybe a bigger power supply (used from old build), a better CPU Cooler, and, like I said, maybe a few more fans. I noticed today when playing Tomb Raider quick that my CPU temp got up to 117 degrees. It's running around 95 right now under normal load. So, something I might get sometime in the near future. .

PS, built this during opening Thursday of March Madness. Great day off work!! :) :)

Was the Extreme4 motherboard worth it?

Wasn't bad. The last PC I built was several years ago and was an Intel board (Bad Axe). That was an awesome bored at the time, given it was quite a bit more expensive then the one I used this go-around.

The AsRock I could tell was def cheaper. Wasn't quite as sturdy and didn't have the solid feel like my last. Not to mention, when I installed the vid card, the clamp that holds the card in snapped off. Wasn't using much force at all. Otherwise, no complaints. The setup screen are nice; all mouse driven, which I think is the common thing nowadays. Don't see a lot of options for booting however (schedule power ups). I haven't played too deeply w/ this yet tho..

Haven't overclocked this yet. I just got a aftermarket cooler so will be doing that sometime. But, from the small amount I played w/ it, looks easy piecey!

Except for the case and the fact that I have a Gigabyte 7950, this is almost my exact setup... well done, sir.

If anyone wants any input from me about any of the pieces I used, shoot me a message.
Glad to give my opinion! :)

Great build, very similar to mine. The C70 is such a good case.
