Description

This build was supposed to be built by the end of the year, but I had an opportunity to get the GTX 1070 and the 240GB SSD for "free", giving me some slack to spend more money on the rest of the build and motivating me to move it forward.

The primary purpose will be gaming and media, no intention to OC the CPU at first but provably later this year, that's why I went for the 6600k and water cooling (the position of the radiator does not totally convince me, perhaps I'll move it to the front later). The rest of the components are not overwhelming but good enough to have this PC running good for some time, later I will buy another internal hard drive to increase storage.

I'm still missing a decent keyboard which I plan to buy next week.

Comment, feedback are welcome.

I used the points I earn with my airline on its online store (I was surprise when I found out they have this kind of items for sale), and since I travel mostly for work, well you get the idea.

What airline is it? I travel a lot for work as well (nearly 150,000 miles/year) so I would be interested in some alternatives to get rewards I would use.

Sooner is always better than later. All builds should be on-going projects. You'll get to where you want to be! Good luck!

Hi, I'm trying to decide between the Gigabyte GC_WB867D-I and the TP-Link TL-WDN4800 (https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/G4H323/tp-link-wireless-network-card-tlwdn4800)... there a few reviews that the TP-Link doesn't work too well with windows 10 if you want 5.0GHz band, so maybe you can sell me on the Gigabyte Adapter? Theres a few reviews that say the bluetooth doesn't connect, or dropped connections, and the adapter not working after a few months to a year... Have you had this problem?

Thanks in advance!

I wouldn't know. From all the parts on my build its the only one that I haven't purchased. Sorry I can't help, and thanks for the heads up, I will do a little more research before purchasing the wireless adapter.

Best regards

How did you get Windows 10 Pro for only $6? Was it through your work or something?
