This computer is a revision the computer i built in January https://pcpartpicker.com/b/NRRG3C changes are the ram graphics card and power supply wireless card

the power supply is from a computer i built in April 2013 the gigabyte gtx 970 stop rocking completely in April of this year and got the r9 280x for 154.98 on ebay

i put this picture on facebook and one got said with a i3 i wouldnt be gaming much ask what i played said if it buy a hyper 212 evo other guy said should of went a 6300 or 8350 and 960 well the 970 was leased in December and they assume it was a new build or something then said i should of got a r9 270 instead and the i3 wouldnt bottleneck the r9 280x i put a link the part list on there what do you guys think

wait, is there no front intake fans? i only see the top (i assume is intake) fan and rear exhaust? seems kind of starved for air.

+1 for S340. One of the easiest cases I've had the opportunity to build in.

Well, the new video card that you just got is a straight downgrade as far as I know. Typically an i5 would be optimal for gaming.

It is a downgrade, but getting another 970 would have been much more expensive.

The i3 isn't bad, I'm not really sure of any normal games that it just can't handle. with that motherboard you are primed for an i5 if you need it. The 280x probably wont be limited by your processor, that doesn't mean your framerate wont

I really don't think the i3 would bottle neck a gtx 970. The i3 is actually a very capable cpu! Shame about that 970 though :(

I will be honest with you. I have a amd fx 6300, its good if you want to overclock, but thats about it. If you run it stock, then intel is better. I have issues running CPU intensive games with my FX 6300

If what you are looking for is approval, you should go to someone else. If you are looking to build a formula system then why put the time in? you can buy one off the shelf like that. This is all starting to remind me of the auto forums where everybody was talking about they mods like taking out the air filter or putting in light weight oil for more hp. How does it play for you? Does it do what you wanted to do? Did you learn anything you might do different next time? You have a good system, use it and learn about what makes it work the way it does All the components you have can be replaced at a later date to imporove (or not) your system. Or you coluld watch Linus and he will tell you the approved system parts and show you how to put it them together. just not as musch fun as taking risks and putting your own system together. Remeber you are supposed to have fun.

i hate tell you this not my first experience im not looking for approval just advice i been building computers since i was 17 years old and im 33 now ive seen computers go from single core cpu and megabytes of ram to this and yes it does what i want i was building computers before youtube existed

Shame about your 970, didnt it have a decent warranty? At least the 280x is still good for 1080p 60fps gaming

Pretty decent build you've got there. Shame about the 970 though, was there a reason it wasn't covered by a warranty? One of the main reasons I usually buy from EVGA is that they have a pretty substantive warranty program. (not as awesome as it used to be... but still nice)

Do you just use this for gaming and web browsing?

yes i do just use it web browsing and gaming it it a long story but i least the 970 from a company called nocomprimisegaming and they mark it up $95 so when it fired i told they could keep i didnt want it replaced
