Description

Used mostly for gaming, works perfectly fine, no problems. LOVE IT! BTW the fans are going to change: going with the new Corsair ML Pro LED White.

Also note that the SLI Bridge, when lighting white, has a whiter and brighter white than the white from the GPUs themselves. As long as you dont look at it for too long it won't be noticed much or you can just change the color and you won't notice at all.

I know.. on the first few pictures the lower GTX 1070 only has one out of two 8-pin connector connected because I totaly forgot to connect it, but don't worry it's connected now :)

Part Reviews

CPU

As a flagship core, I think this is an awesome CPU

CPU Cooler

This thing is awesome, the RGB LEDs giving away the perfect color you want, smoothly, no imperfections.

Motherboard

Looks awesome with pretty much any build, love it.

Memory

Looks great in build like this, I like the LEDs.

Video Card

I think this is the best looking GPU for builds that need simplicity, very satisfied.

Case

Cable management in this case is hard because of how compact the case is. I like the power supply shroud a lot it keeps this build, or any build in this case very clean. Overall satisfied of this case

Power Supply

Overkill for this build but awesome power supply anyways!

Custom

The bridge is bigger than you think, trust me.

Why didnt you go for a 1080? Other than that beautiful build. +1

Because two GTX 1070 looks WAY better and has better performance. But one GTX 1080 is awesome too.

Have you considered...

Two 1080's?

No need for two GTX 1080s for gaming only... I was VERY VERY satisfied with two GTX 1070s

Nah man you need two Titan X Pascals to get that reeaalll gaming experience

I've been thinking of doing a rig quite like this... but how much performance do you actually gain from getting 4 4gb sticks instead of 2 8gb?

  • 4 points

It doesn't change much exept for temperature, but it looks way better.

  • 1 point

4 sticks definitely DOES look better. No arguments there. Thats why I went with 2 8GB's sticks to start... will get two more 8gb to total 32GB soon and spend not much more than 4 4GB=16GB sticks would have cost.

What sort of frame rate are you getting in most games running SLI? Roughly what percentage of games have you been able to utilize SLI for? If so, have you observed a large difference vs single card operation? Thanks. Beautiful build.

  • 1 point

SLI works for more than 90% of my games and my average fps for these games is about 75fps, and yes I there is a big difference between 1 GTX 1070 and 2 in SLI. Thanks for the support!

what speed are your cards running at? 8x and 8x or 16x and 8x or 16x and 16x? A very nice and stylish build by the way. +1 from me. :)

Where did you buy your GPU? I was going to buy mine from the EVGA site, since those definitely won't have any issues with overheating/whatnot

Bought it from newegg.com

Unless your going to be future proofing this or constantly swaping out the gpus or messing with the voltage intake for the gpus for over clocking than you dont need 850w power supply. Anyways looks nice and thank yo for not scamping out on some of the parts.

I know my power supply is definitely overkill for this build

Beautiful build +1, do you game at 2k or 4k? hows the performance for the SLI 1070's??

  • 2 points

I play 4k all games on ultra but sli doesn't work with sertain games like battlefield 1

  • 1 point

The lower 1070 doesn't have one of the 8-pin cables connected. Did you just forget to connect that for the pictures? Otherwise, great build this thing will destroy anything at 4K.

  • 1 point

Yes I noticed too, I forgot to connect the bottom card's second 8-pin connector. You're right this beast DESTROYS anything 4K. Thanks!

Hi Mate,

Can you measure the clearance the fans have to the highest point on the RAM? I've been searching everywhere for an exact measurement but haven't been able to find one.

Cheers.

Whats your thoughts on that Corsair SSD?? Sick Build BTW , much love +1

The corsair Force LE SSD is a great ssd, I don't have any problems with it... I can't compare it to other SSDs because I haven't tried other SSDs, but I can tell you that it is way faster than the HDD that I owned before that. Thanks for the like btw ;)

Hi there, i am going to change my h100i for a h115i ,and like you i have the same case but in white. Did u had trouble with mounting the radiator because of the HDD cage?

Thanks cheers

  • 1 point

No because first of all, I didn't put the HDD cage but it is possible to fit the hard drive cage and I recommend you to put the hard drive cage and connect the SATA cable for the HDD before the H115i radiator. Also note that your cables will be messy in the power supply shroud, to fix that problem, connect the power supply cables you need before installing it in the case, that way you won't have any trouble with your cable management and with the HDD cage. (it is a tight fit though).

Hi there, thanks for your advice, but i already installed it yesterday. Managed to keep the Hard drive Cage, i had a fight with the PSU cables to keep them hide, and helped the fact that i just use one HDD, and the other hdd slots e put there some cables and extension to push the cage to the max. If you go to my build photos,i left there the last photo for you to see the tiny inch that was possible.

thanks again for your help

What fans do u use in your radiator? Still the stock ones? I think ill changed them soon..I was wondering if any better than Akasa Apache for the price. And one thing that i did not like is that the hoses of the cooler are very rigid, hpe they were more flexible.

Yes, I use the stock fans for my radiator

Hey, are your top fans exhaust? Why did you go with front intake/push rather than pull? Is it better?

  • 2 points

Usually people go with push and in my case my fans light up so i put them in push so i could see them in front of my pc case and yes my tops fans are exhaust, thanks and please leave a +1 :)
