Description

My first ever PC Builde did not really know anything about PC building up until 2 months or so ago, I stumbled upon this page and found a lot of custom PC's that were eye-catching and just beautiful to look at. After watching a LOT of youtube videos about PC Building and Lots and Lots of research, i decided to finally have a go at building one. It took me around 5-6 hours by myself with breaks of course and plenty of patience. The overall experience was really great and straightforward as well as Very fun.

I am still thinking which parts to upgrade in the near future, but at the moment I am very happy with what I've done and is enough for some casual gaming as well as work.

Part Reviews

CPU

Very Quick CPU, is capable of Casual Gaming, Video Rendering & Editing as well as multitasking.

Motherboard

Nice Motherboard, Really like the plain white and black as it matched with the theme of my setup. So far no issues and easy to OC.

Memory

Minimalistic looking RAM and performs great, Prices could be lower but it is what it is.

Storage

HOLYYY JESUS!!! This SSD is lightning fast and boots up my PC in seconds! Really high-quality product. Price is actually reasonable for a nvme and is not much different from a SATA SSD. Definitely recommend!!!!!!!!!!!

Storage

Cheap Hardrive that performs well. Good storage for games and files.

Video Card

AMAZING!!!!! Love the Aesthetic Design that ASUS has on this product as well as other ROG Products. Takes up most of the space in my MATX Case but looks very nice with LEDs configured to you liking.

Operating System

10/10 -IGN

Wireless Network Adapter

Pretty much doubles my internet speed when downloading or uploading.

Monitor

Very cheap for a decent monitor, some visible tearing when playing games that are not even demanding, but it is a 60hz monitor. Size is enough as I have a small desk.

Mouse

Very minimal mouse and love the white colour as it matches with the theme. The customisation is great and very easy.

Nice build. Color scheme is great, and the cable management is literally perfect (other than wireless but a tesla coil would be hilariously absurd). Great build. That card is overkill for 60Ghz 1080p, but I guess you can at least get a long life out of it.

If you upgrade anything it should be the monitor

thank you! I've only had it for 2 years, but it was cheap so I think it is a good idea to invest in a better monitor so i can get a good use out of my GPU.

Your most welcome. IMO a 1070 is the optimal card for 2K gaming as it is. I haven't seen g-sync in action. but it sounds cool I guess

I agree with memo, I recommend an acer or Asus 1080p 144hz monitor. 1440p g sync monitors are also a great option. The one I am using is around $390. It’s pricey but completely worth it. I used a 1070 with mine and it worked like a charm. Either way, beautiful build +1

This build is eye candy. What is the cpu cooler, is it the one that comes with the AMD processor?

Hey what case is that in. I’m also getting the gtx 1070 strix and want to make sure mine fits. I’ve heard of it not fitting in some cases due to its inherently larger size.

its a NZXT H400i its a matx case. I was a little unsure about the rog 1070 strix as well but it fits well with around 2-3cm space between the stock front fans.
