Description

this is my budget all purpose locally grown green electricity fed... umm device..? it runs well in every game I play and and the price wasn't too bad either, got the 970 off eBay and built up around that. the build was finished late June but haven't uploaded yet. i'm very happy with all the components nothing died on me. the fans are quiet at 900 usually my curve isn't great but it stays cool, everything need tweaking still.

updated, i tried get a better psu off ebay and it killed my 970 not my mobo as i first thought, so i got a new 1070 and a k5 mobo. both work fine now

Nice build, and you are able to squeeze out some good performance by OC'ing your components +1!

Hey thanks for the post. I just bought this case to do a build in and want to stick with air cooled. Seems youre the first to post a build air cooled so I'm glad to see how you did yours.

Are the 3 120mm fans in the front quiet enough in this case?

I saw a review that said the PSU got somewhat warm so I'm wondering if you had the same experience or just went with 3 fans straight off the bat.

Thanks again for your post :)

hey thanks, yeah they are quiet if you keep the rpm low, at about 900 rpm you start hearing them a little, no whine i don't mind it at all. i did't have three fans like that right away but you get two stock Fractile fans included and i thought it waste not to use one in that extra spot, i never checked the heat on the psu actually, but i assume this would help as its blowing directly on it. i can feel cool air coming out of the back of the psu's exhaust so i assume it's doing just fine.

Did you have to use a fan splitter to add the extra fans?

Those ketchup and mustard PSU cables...

I'd swap out that PSU cause I've heard of catastrophic failures happening on the low end of Corsair's budget PSUs. A Seasonic Prime Gold will be miles better than what's currently in there.
