I've been waiting to do another build for nearly 2 years now. Back in March of 2016 a house fire destroyed everything I had including my set up. Its been a long wait but I was finally able to build my dream PC.

The build itself went very smooth, pretty much just plug and play. I settled at a modest 3.8 overclock on the CPU. The NZXT s340 Elite is a great case to build in. Cable management took a while to get everything flat (mostly because of cable extensions and having to run a molex cable for the Hue+). Other than that I did not run into any issues at all. The only thing I would change if i did it again would be the ram. I bought CAS 16 instead of CAS 14 which I am currently only able to run at 2133 instead of 3200.

I hope you enjoy the light show. This will be my build for 2018 and more than likely the first half of 2019, but who knows what will happen. If anyone has any more specific questions about the build or my desk cable management please ask!

Part Reviews

Absolute powerhouse. Blows through anything you can throw at it

CPU Cooler

Dropped temps on R7 1700 from 40c Idle and 64c gaming with Wraith Spire to 28c idle and 39c gaming. Also, RGB stuff is cool.

Snagged a great deal on this board through Micro center bundle. So far I have not had any issues with it. Great board for the price.

Looks cool and does what is should

Video Card

Amazing GPU. Paired with a 1440p 144hz monitor it is an amazing experience.

Excellent case. Plenty of room for cable management and the tempered glass is a nice way to look at the money pit you created.

Power Supply

Fully modular and nothing has exploded. What more could you ask for?

Case Fan

Looks great and pairs well with the Hue+.

Case Fan

Looks great and pairs well with the Hue+.

Case Accessory

Works great with light strips and Aer fans. Molex connector sucks though.

1080Ti and this monitor is an amazing experience. Buttery smooth with G-sync

Great keyboard, Switches are fairly quiet with a great feel to them.

Mouse feels nice in the hands. On the fly dpi change is nice when going from different games. Also the sniper button is a lifesaver in games like H1Z1.

Super comfortable, wireless, great sound. Couldn't ask for anymore.

Sorry to hear that man but at least now you've built yourself this beast. Excellent cable management, are those white panels removable? I think your sleeved cables deserve some cable combs to make them straight and sexy.

The colors man, the colors.

Looks like Tinker Bell decorated the inside of a Unicorn's bedroom.

I know this is nit-picky but you could have bought an RGB Case like the Infinity.....

Otherwise, really nice build! +1
