Description

Finally got around to posting my first build ever. Shopped the sales around black friday and built it on a budget of under $1100 before tax - monitor included. Locked prices are including rebates though, so maybe a little over budget. Used mainly for gaming @ 1080p 75fps. Working great for everything I need so far.

Any feedback is much appreciated!

Part Reviews

CPU

Came with pins bent. Screw you NewEgg. I just bent them back with a credit card and safety bin. Works fine so far. Other than the pins, great buy and stock cooler is definitely enough in terms of cooling.

Motherboard

Great motherboard. Comes with back lighting and all the slots I need. RGB pins, enough fan headers, and nice aesthetic. Awesome buy for the price.

Video Card

Runs games great on 1080p @75fps ultra settings, especially with free-sync enabled. Haven't tried a game that's crazy graphics demanding yet though. Quiet under no stress (since the fans don't spin) but gets pretty loud under load. Considering just getting a custom cooling bracket for my GPU. If you don't mind the noise of the fans, it's a good buy for the price.

Case

Great case for the price overall.

Pros: - Love the geometric design of the dust filters - Compact, but plenty of room for cable management - Able to upgrade to Q300P, which is kinda nice I guess

Cons: - Airflow isn't great. Might need to buy an extra two fans (currently have 3 total). - Lighting the inside of the case ruins the geometric design effect

Wireless Network Adapter

Bluetooth and wifi work great. No issues with gaming or streaming videos. Keep in mind I live in a 1 floor condo.

just built my daughter her first PC in that same case. the rear mounted 3.5 bay and recessed PSU were certainly odd design choices. Did you wind up liking it?

I liked it. Theres space to easily bring the wires through to mount my SSD in the back with the screws and washers they give you. It also makes it more open in the visible area of the case, which I like. I only have one hard drive for now though, so not sure how easy it'll be to put a second HDD in.

I thought the recessed PSU was slightly inconvenient, but overall this case is wonderful to build in.

Nice build, surprised how nice the case looks for the price and the cable management on point.
