This is my 8th build of the year, 2nd personal use PC, a mix of a HTPC and a travel gaming PC. Since my main PC is inside an NZXT S340 elite it became troublesome to move it every time I’m traveling somewhere for several days for work or any reason, which is where this build comes in.
— Word of advice: if you’re building in the same case I did, then do not, and I repeat DO NOT make my mistake and purchase your parts separately... this case is very hard to build in due to the small size and no room for cable management. The case itself is great, but if you’re going to throw a GPU in there then please for the love of god do it all at once.
My mistakes are as follow: 1- threw in a temporary 2200G I had lying around just until I can buy a Ryzen 5 2600 next month. 2- threw in 2400mhz 8GB RAM, again until next month when I can upgrade to a 16GB 3200mhz RAM. 3- put the whole build together while the GPU was still in route.
Having to take almost all the cabling out to put in the GPU in and rewiring everything was very hard, just do yourself a favor, don’t build your build until you have all the parts... I still have to tear this down and rebuild it again next month when I can buy the intended CPU and RAM for this build....
Also, invest in some zip ties, I take pride in my cable management and this case took a toll on me, without zip ties this build wouldn’t be possible.
There’s enough room for a SSD and a HDD drives at the bottom, take advantage of that and route a single power cable to them.
I wish I took pictures of the build process but no worries I’ll do it when I upgraded the CPU and RAM in a month and then I’ll upload them here.
Awesome budget board with WiFi, haven’t overclocked with it yet, but I will soon and will update this review if needed, for now you get 5*
Cheap fast SSD for your OS. Get it.
I’ve been with Seagate for a while, until one those guys fail on me, you get 5*
My lord I am in love with this card! I got it for a budget HTPC/Travel PC build and this thing is amazing, very cool temps maxing at 71c, very quiet fans, 60+fps easily with everything on ultra 1080p. This card is intended to 144hz 1440p gaming in my opinion, it’ll chew through 1080p no issues, but I doubt it can pull anything decent on 4K. Took away 1 star because the fans are always on 44% even on idle which I really don’t like even if they’re quite. MSI afterburner can’t adjust it either.
I love the looks and size of this case, the handle on the top makes it a perfect travel PC, but ooh does it not have any room for cable management. I’d rant here in the review but you can just click on the build and see my full rant over there.
Small tip - buy all your parts for your build at once, wait for EVERYTHING to arrive, invest in a lot of zip ties, and then build in this case, after that close the side panel and never open. You shouldn’t build in the case a little by little and say I’ll upgrade/add parts later.
