Description

Wanted Itx case that can house high end parts and looked good the DA2 streamcom meets all of that. The build was fun you have to pick out your parts and plan ahead and take your time I have a X62 installed .I picked up I9 9900KF for 419.00 on sale couldn't let that pass by still the best cpu for gaming. I took out the top and bottom air filters and saw drop in temps on my gpu doesnt go over 70 underload and cpu idles at 27 and under gaming load 63c @ 5.ghz OC overall I love the way the build came out. . Anyone that buys this case do yourself a favor and remove all the dust filters out temps will drop it makes a diff.

Valar Morghulis! Nice setup and descriptions. I especially love the Ouija skull! Was this custom made or did you find it somewhere?

Yeah I know its the one I wanted before I saw this case the temps on that case with a top cpu are gonna be bad its a main reason I picked the DA2 over all the cases M1 the ghost to me its looks better than the M1 and it fits bigger cooler and cost less and the ghost well its never in stock not gonna wait around till it comes back

Great Build! I've been thinking of trying this case out as I also own a Kraken x62. I was wondering, however, as most reviewers and builds I've seen online with this config have placed the 140mm radiator fans towards the inside of the case (with the radiator facing outside), how are the temps/fit with your config having the fans towards the outside?

Optimum Tech's video stated that it was a somewhat tight squeeze getting the radiator in, and he had his configured with fans on the inside, so I'm a bit worried that putting the fans outside (my preference aesthetically) might damage the AIO tubes or screw up temps somehow.

If I remember right the I have tried 3 ways with the fans inside as intake and inside as exhaust. When used as inside as exhaust the temps were ok till I game it would get too hot for the gpu would rise to high 80s and cpu would to. with the fans set to intake inside the temps would lower in the mid 70c for the cpu and gpu underload. Now with the fans set to to intake on the outside temps are lower both cpu and gpu idle at 37c and gpu underload stays in mid 60c and so the cpu mind that my I9 9900k is overclocked to 5ghz highest it gets is low 70c with no avx offset. I do have custom fan curves for both the cpu and gpu. All case filters are taken out.

Thanks for the info! Was the squeeze of the radiator pushed closer inside okay for the AIO tubes? Trying to avoid damage by forcing it to fit with the fans on the outside as Streacom's default layout recommends having fans on inside (although based on your comment those temp improvements look like a much better tradeoff)

I found it better with the fans on the outside and more room for the hose and you dont have to worry about the fans hitting some of the cables inside.

I would put the fans on the outside I found temps cooler and it looks better to me I dont have to worry about the fans catching on any cables or tubes set them to pull cold air, I had them set to exhaust and temps were higher and the hot air was blowing towards me I didnt like that.
