Description

I've played counter-strike competitively for the past 15 years, and took a break last November giving all my gear to my brother so I could focus on music. Found myself having an itch around april to game a little bit, so I got myself a ps4 pro with a few games and it did not do it for me. I've just never been a controller type gamer. So I started planning my build back in early June, and finished it today, August 3rd.

I've always loved Black & Red, and clearly it's a favorite theme among PC Builders, but hopefully some will still enjoy my build as much as I do!

MODS:

  • I custom painted a good bit of my s340 elite matte black case. Everything you see that's RED was custom painted. I also filled in the 'NZXT' logo on the cable bar with a black sharpie to make that logo pop.

  • Custom painted my GTX 1080. Actually messed up the sanding on my LED logo, but it looks pretty good lit up so that's all I care about.

  • Custom painted the red square on my Samsung SSD (yes I know it's not a pro lol)

  • Custom laser printed LED GPU backplate for my GTX1080 from jmmods.com (https://www.jmmods.com/gpu-backplate)

I've had so much fun building this. Found a lot of youtubers that have given me loads of wisdom and information and not to mention inspiration. TechSource, JayzTwoCents, BitWit, etc. Awesome guys.

If you have any questions or comments please feel free to post!!

I would also like to see the finished product if possible. What did you use to paint the GPU? I painted mine also with Plasti Dip.

How was your experience with Jeffrey from jmmods? How quickly did you receive the backplate and how was the communication? I only ask because I placed an order with him and haven't heard back yet -__-

He's an awesome cat. He dialogued with me back and forth and really chatted on my ideas. I decided to go simple with the nvidia claw logo, my gaming alias, and the model of my card. I paid for it, he had it made within a week, and it shipped to me 3 days after. Really awesome dude. I plan to buy more from him

How are your cpu and gpu temps with this case?

They're great. First they both seem to run a little hotter than I expected. I modified the fan curve in MSI afterburner and cam software to have the fans engage quicker at a higher rpm to keep everything nice and cool.

At full load my CPU stays around mid 60s at 4.7ghz and gpu 70s.
