No, this build is nowhere near powerful enough for that...

Wow, this build is pretty fricken amazing, the first build on here using the 1000D it looks like, which is also an insane case. But also congrats on getting married, maybe you can show this to the wifey and she gets into this stuff as well.

I hate to admit it but work has gotten the better of us. We are just so busy with work and family that neither of us have time for much gaming. I'm trying to get her into Fortnite since it's cartoonish tho!

Nice build!! I'm on the verge of buying the Corsair 1000D but know I'll probably spend way more on components since it's so big and roomy. Can you add some more pictures in normal lighting? Possibly showing something next to the 1000D for size comparison and of your custom loops?

  • 2 points

What would you like for size comparision? I can try when i get off work later.

Nice! :) Always good to spoil yourself right before your balls get put in her purse XD What programs do you use for video editing?

Wow that's a lot of fans! Looks really clean. One thing I would change is to add custom fan grills to those eight front fans but that's just me. +1

+1 !!

If your wife ever asks how much you spent on that PC, just say "I bought it on sale for a little over $2000" ;-)

Some men go crazy with a wild bachelor party right before the wedding. You made the better decision to go crazy with a build. Umm, or did you also have a bachelor party? :)

One question: Are your photos just using plain clear fluid or are you using UV-reactive fluid with that Alphacool Eisbecher Helix in the photos?

  • 1 point

Clear fluid, the Helix has a UV light in the middle that gave the helix a nice glow.

And thank you! Actually because of work and life, neither of us had crazy partities so I guess this does make up for it!

Great build I love those LL fans on the 1000D, but I do have a quick question how are the LL fans performance with those Rads?

I initially wanted LL fans as well for my build (4 480 though HWLabsGTS) but due to it not being static pressure I thought it would not have been ideal so went with ML's however if they work well I may switch!

Thanks in advance and again beautiful build!

@AlexNovakRamdass This is definitely an overkill build! The Rampage VI, however, supports up to 4200MHz of DDR4 RAM; your Trident Z RAM will be downclocked to that frequency.

I'm going out on a limb and guessing you won't need to build another puter for a Looonnnggg time after you're married. Good choice. Nice build, upgradable yet future-proof. A bit of advice from someone who's enjoyed 36 years of bliss- it's easier to ask forgiveness than permission (but sometimes wisdom will dictate consult the little lady first- she might hold out cooking dinner or something).

How does the i9 7980xe do in 4k gaming? I want to do a build but I'll be running 128gb of ram and 2x rtx 2080ti cards. Going for an extreme overkill build for both work station and gaming at 4k.

I'm building my custom loop this weekend and I have the Corsair 1000d and the LL series fans as well as the 420 and 480GTRs. What I want to know is how the heck did you get them to fit? Did you have to mod the 480's or the mounting bracket because it seems like they are too wide to line up with the screw holes? Also where did the piping go for the back radiator, did you go through the back hole or the HDD bay then do a case mod to go straight up? Sorry for all the questions, just impressed you were able to fit both GTRs in there if you didn't do any mods Also, I'm in the same situation as you man. I'm getting married soon and just recently found out that I'm having a kid but luckily I bought the liquid cooling components before we found out. She keeps asking "so how much have you put into this, how much money have you spent?" Best way I found to reply to that is "a lot less than what I spent for the ring you are wearing on your finger". lol
