Description

Quick backstory: My original custom PC made back in 2017, my father purchased from me and told me to build a new one as he needed a new PC for work related stuff. I set off with a weeks notice to pick out some parts, compile them... click, wait... the Yodel spill liquid on the graphics card so they have to take it back and send a new one... FINALLY, build it!

The system contains the new generation series of Ryzen processors by AMD. The Ryzen 3600 (6C / 12T) is a highly popular and capable AM4 platform processor, much faster than my previous 1600! The RTX 2060 is a very nice looking card, and seems extremely capable - haven't had chance to try ray tracing yet, but will soon! 16GB 3000Mhz RAM, went for white due to the Steel Legend white aesthetic and it works perfectly, brilliant match and good RAM pricing, back in 2017 8GB DDR4 cost me £80! Jeez!! The Corsair SPEC-DELTA is a BEAUTIFUL case for the price, I highly recommend. With its dust filters, 4 included non-PWM fans (3 are also RGB!) allow for good air flow, however the front intake has limited holes to intake, but in the 30'c heatwave currently it is holding up even when bench marking. The ASRock Steel Legend is also a beautiful board, with a lovely padded digital white camo IO shield.

Overall conclusion: this system will serve me well, it is a beauty both looks and performance currently.

This build is Delta Oscar November Echo (DONE).

Part Reviews

Case

Aesthetics: 9/10 - Case looks amazing and build quality is very good, tempered glass side panel is very stylish and the front panel is once again very stylish, 3 RGB fans included. Practicality: 8/10 - Houses components, alright cable management, PSU / HDD shroud, 6 120mm fan potential. Airflow at the front is limited due to not many holes allowing air to pass through, size of the case is very nice. Dust filters on the top and bottom, easy to clean. Price: 9/10 - Amazing price for the quality of Corsairs case alongside the tempered glass, 3 included RGB fans and 1 black rear fan, PSU shroud and dust filters, etc.

I'm going for a similar build. What type of monitor is that? Gsync or Freesync?

Nope, it is perfectly fine. Working well with the 3600.

Did the Asrock board B450 board work with the Ryzen 3600 right out of the box or did you have to do a bios update?

You must flash the BIOS on evey b450 mobo. Or ask your retailer to do it.
