Description

Can play max settings on every game( except gta5/forza) at 1080p without reaching 70c. I wanted something small but still have available space for additional hard drive space. almost all the parts were used. It holds a stable OC of 4.6 although I dialed it back because I havent needed to use it at all.

the psu was from ebay and arrived with fan noise which was easily fixable(still seemed too good to be true). The graphics card is from a craigslist person who mined on it but let me benchmark it first. Everything else was bought when everything had deals.

who needs storage? Way to make a small case work, you utilized its strong points and worked around its weak ones (internal airflow). I like it +1

+1, cause I have very similar set up. 6600K, 2x8 @ 3000 ram, Z170 board, 650w gold PSU. The main difference is I have an MSI 1070, and a 360mm AIO in an open air case.

I'm trying to help a friend build a PC for the $1000 price point, which is what you've listed this as - but clearly I'm doing something wrong. Can you link to where I can buy an EVGA GTX 1070 8GB FTW for $260 ($500 is lowest I found), or a i5-6600k for $180 ($210 is lowest I found)? Appreciate it!

Both are from craigslist and the graphics card seller mentioned it had been mined on but undervolted. I live in a big city so quite a bit is posted on craigslist and a lot of people can be reasoned with. Before purchasing the 1070hybrid I had met someone with a 1070ti for $260 but it was a slot too big for my case. Maybe not great advice for a first time buyer but I'm the kind of person that will setup my pc at a local library to make sure components work before I make a purchase. Currently on my cities craigslist though I see; FE 1070 for $210 in northern oregon MSI 1070 for $150 and currently on ebay 6600k for $130 buy it now price. ( your friend should trust ebay as long as he reads seller reviews)

Disregard this troll. He's been a member since 2014 and only has 3 comments. Apparently today he decided to log in and call everyone's build a lie.
