Description

Meet my RGB Beauty, Aurora! This was my first build, and went very very smoothly due to the luxuries and open space of the Lian Li O-11 Dynamic. Although there's still room for improvement in cable management, the O-11 makes it so easy to build in and organizing cables. I recommend this case to anyone who gets frustrated in tight spaces - it was extremely easy no lie.

I love everything about my build so far. The PC is beyond fast- I just need to upgrade my GPU down the line, most likely to GTX 1080 TI or RTX 2080 ti. My only complaint would be all the software needed for RGB lighting. I have corsair for the fans, RAM, and Liquid cooler. Logitech for the speakers, mouse, and keyboard. And Arorus for the motherboard RGB, so it can be a little complicated changing everything at once, but overall I am beyond happy with all my choices. Please feel free to ask any questions if you need help, and a special shoutout to all the videos below for guiding me through my first build!

Part Reviews

CPU Cooler

Keeping my i7-8700k @ 55 degrees celcius or lower :) Made a watery noise for the first 24 hours of use (due to air being trapped in between the liquid cooler and the CPU). Went away quickly, and now is working like a charm. Long radiator cords are a little annoying.

Motherboard

Great to work with. Easy and the software/BIOS is extremely easy.

Memory

Other RAM caught my eye initially, but I went with the Vengeance due to simplicity with having multiple Corsair RGB for software purposes. Prettier and less bulky than I thought it was from pictures.

Video Card

Great so far. Bottlenecking my CPU but as expected. Getting good FPS, but I long for more.

Case

The best part of my build. Beautiful, Great cable management, large for easy building, hidden wires in back, and extremely functional. LOVE LOVE LOVE

Power Supply

Love it! So easy to organize and great packaging.

Operating System

No complaints.

Case Fan

Easy to install, just a lot of wires. BEAUTIFUL FANS THOUGH :)

Why such a good CPU cooler on a non overclockable CPU?

Sorry I tagged the wrong CPU; I have 8700k and will be overclocking it.

How are the temperatures?

I’m wondering about that too since the bottom fans are facing up.

34-38C idle. About 42-48 C with high demand games for CPU. GPU 44 idle, and get up to 69 C

Are all your fans exhausting? The side fans look like they are not spinning.

TBH i didn't plug in the 3 vertical fans when I took this picture. All good now.

Did you have to buy a rgb led hub or an commander pro to use all of the fans?

Yeah I had to use the commander pro to get them to all run.

I'm doing a build that has i7-8700 and 1080ti Your gpu is bottlenecking the cpu? Guess i'll have to get a better cpu..

No, get the i7-8700k then you can overclock it if you need more power(thats why I have an overly expensive watercooler). The GPU is what I need to upgrade..hopefully to a rtx 2080 or rtx 2080ti. I have had 0 problems with this CPU running to my demands.

Also just installed a new sound card bc my mic didn't sound great, and I love music. I went with the Asus Xonar STX.
