GPU prices finally went down build

by mrHam12

Description

Mainly used for gaming. The Pure Rock Slim is a great cooler (easy installation and pre-applied thermal paste). The RAM and SSD are crazy quick, and the 1070 is heaven. The only problems are with the case. The front of the case has bad intake for the fans, but hey, it's RGB so people don't care. And the sleek design is cool and all but the right side of the case doesn't have any room for cables. This meant I had to cram them all in while the side bulged out some. Other than the case, every other part is really good.

Part Reviews

Case

Don't let the tempered glass and RGB fans fool you, this case isn't what it adds up to be. First off, the right side of the case (where all the cables go) has no extra room for the cables. So you have to do really good cable management to fit them in. Second, the fans are connected to a pre-installed controller, and while the RGB effects are cool, the fans run at 100% speed all the time, so expect it to be pretty loud. Third, the power supply cover and hard drive bay interfere slightly, so it is harder to screw in the hard drive (if you have one). If you can put up with all that, the case is still pretty nice.

some prices still need to go down like the ti versions of the 1080 are retarded

Ezikiel 2 points 5 months ago

Those won't go down, manufacturers aren't making 1080 ti's anymore.

Cypherink 2 points 5 months ago

The 2000s sereis are out right so eventually you will see the price decrease

Ezikiel 2 points 5 months ago

No, that's not how markets work.

1080 ti's have stopped being manufactured. Therefore, the supply decreases while the demand increases, leading to prices rising.

The 2000 cards will not affect the prices of the 1080 and 1080 ti's. In a normal market, where 1080s were still being produced, yes, the price would drop.

Can I put a 240mm liquid cooler at the top of case

Not sure, I didn't attach any fans or radiators so you'd have to do some research. I know the fan slots are all 120mm compatible though.
