Description

Upgraded my XANA build to 2.0 by tossing out that old ugly EVGA GTX 970 and putting in 2 Asus GTX 970 with SLI support to boost the graphics performance in games.

Power supply has been upgraded from the corsair 600 to the evga supernova

Next I plan to upgrade my CPU cooler to the cooler master V6 which is a bit "neater" in design and also has better cooling performance then the V8. As well as upgrading the mother board in order to add more graphics cards in the future. will be installing another 8 gigs of RAM because star Citizen can be quite demanding on RAM and the full game isnt even done yet....

The Asus GTX 970 is a very and extremely sexy version of the GTX 970 coming with a back plate and a nice sleek sexy design, the only downside is that i was under the impression that it lit up on the side....nun to major though

Also I highly recommend the Thormax case to anyone looking to upgrade to a full tower case. the fan leds have awesome patters and etc also along with a built in fan controller. i can also turn of f the leds if needed. it does pretty well with dust management and cable management . this cases is a very good bang for buck not so sure how well it could deal with the space for water cooling thought...I'll look a bit more into it later in future upgraded versions of XANA

So please leave question comment and tips below to help me make better upgrades for XANA 3.0 and 4.0

That CPU cooler is huge. But it looks so cool. That's an interesting look. Good selection for the looks.

I recommend reacher then upgrading to a different air cooler you upgrade to an All in One liquid cooler. There are some good 120mm ones such as the corsair h60 and the cooler master sedion 120. You could get a 240mm one; some good ones being the corsair h100i and the nzxt kraken x61.

what cpu temps you looking at with that cooler, the fx-8350(at least mine) gets up to about 70 degrees(at load) with a noctua nh-u12s which i s a pretty nice cooler.

Hey! I wanted to ask how'd you like the case?! I've been wanting to check it out but haven't seen much on it? Does it seem flimsy, easy cable management? Alot of working room?! Lol.

case is awesome and built very sturdy, cable management is a B but it works. and air flow is very good. as well as the lights in the case being a major plus. and this case is very spacious!

Thank goodness lol. I'm not all to worried about cable management. Find some way to tape/tie off in areas you can't see haha. That you for the info! Seeing your build made me add one to my soon to be personal build.

Also I was going to ask. is Clearance for a cpu cooler an issue? Just asking because it's in the compatibility notes that it doesn't know. I see your cooler and think there shouldn't be an issue at all lol. That thing is massive but hey. Cant hurt to ask.

well back in one of my older builds if you look in my profile it was because the case was a mid tower. but with this case i have no clearance issues at all now

Very nice indeed. AMD rocks. That "leopard carpets" sucks........:-)

You can easily OC that CPU. The case is amazing. Nice choice! Enjoy your rig.
