After over 16 years of using laptops, the last 10 years of which were Macs - I decided to go back to the beginning & build myself a PC, one that I would have liked to have as a teenager but never could have afforded.
I wanted a mini-ITX build because I think they look nicer on my table, and can second as a home entertainment unit, with gaming etc. I chose the Nano S because I like the understated looks, and the spacious design will be suitable for a newbie 1st builder like me. I wasn't wrong - its quite easy to work in it, and cable management was a breeze (although I certainly can do a lot better I think).
I wasn't really constraint by a budget, and I probably overspent for my immediate needs (mainly lots of word / excel working & some PC gaming like Fallout 4, XCOM 2) - in the main I am quite happy with all the parts acquired, especially the Acer Predator XR341CK 34" Monitor for £550. The picture quality was just glorious for both work & play! I got the RX480 to freesync with this monitor - and so far everything is fine and dandy.
Really happy that I managed to complete my first build without much hitches. Would love to hear your comments and suggestions for improvement. My future components will probably be a nice mechanical keyboard (for typing first) and then maybe in a year's time a new GPU from AMD.
