Description

So... I know that I am going to get roasted for an overkill machine used primarily for gaming. I do some light editing and rendering, but not a lot.

The build went relatively smoothly. You will notice there is no CD. Windows installed quickly via USB; maybe 15 minutes.

The motherboard is great, although I hate the USB 3.0 headers; they seem flimsy to me.

I love Noctua, as you can see. I wanted to move away from AIO coolers, and the NH-D15 is great. I also love that the case has the MOBO horizontal, which puts less stress on it because of the massive cooler.

The monitor is a huge upgrade from my old one, it looks amazing.

The CPU cooler and case fans keep everything pretty cool, although I haven't overclocked the system yet.

I know, I know... too much RAM... too much power in the PSU... too many case fans... it's what I do...

This is pretty nice, but can it play Crisis?

Shaddup! This is not overkill! (Me trying to justify why i need a build identical to this i don't need.)

Just out of curiosity, could you tell me whether the noise is bearable or is it way too loud?

It's actually really quiet. That's one of the things I love about Noctua. They are very effective and quiet.

Is The GPU the noisiest?

Wow that case is huge. Any plans what you're gonna do with the other half? :)

Store his drinks since that case will be nice and cool with all those fans

The case is pretty much built for water cooling options. it can fit 3 480 rads in it which is unheard of in other cases and can be stacked with ease

Nice! But, will it blend?

Wow noice build! I'm gonna order that exact cpu and gpu. How do they perform?

They are both performing admirably. The entire system has exceeded all of my expectations and is handling everything I throw at it. Eventually, I may get a second GTX 980 ti to work in SLI, but for right now, it is everything I want.

You should have bought 4 16gb sticks of ram if you want overkill.
