First time building a pc. Thanks to this site, userbenchmark, pcbottleneck calculator and the amazing community of tech youtubers for the help. I'm from Spain so yeah, cost is a bit higher that in the States and my English sucks.
My budget was about 1k euros.
The most painful part of the build was installing the I/O shield. Took me a while to actually insert it in place. And then with the motherboard in, everything connected and screwed in place I realize some of the prongs were inside some of the ports. Had to remove the mobo and move them out of the way.
Also the cooler installation proccess wasn't as smoothly as desired, when screwing one corner I found that the other screws didn't reached the back plate holes so I had to apply some pressure and was very concerned for a moment.
In terms of value I only considered the ryzen 5 2600 and 2600x. I finally decided for the last one because it has better performance out of the box and a better stock cooler.
I just bought it in case I had any trouble with the cooler installation. Used it to replace the paste on my older pc.
Guided mostly by this chart and some reviews from youtube I went for the tomahawk b450 because I had the feeling it was the best option for a midrange build. It can handle new generation ryzen processors, no pcie 4.0 tho.
I just choosed the cheapest 3000Mhz+ 16Gb kit I found that was listed as compatible for my mobo verifying it has a Samsung chipset.
After the rest of my build was decided I had like 100€ to buy storage. I think this drive is maybe not the best value choice but I don't need a lot of storage so I went for performance instead. I cosidered the adata xpg sx8200 pro option but it was only like 10€ cheaper so no point.
I think at that price point the rtx 2060 is the best option. I'm gaming at 1080p and 144hz at most so I think with this card I can play any title at a reasonable quality without performance issues. Also doesn't bottleneck my cpu so all fine.
Best budget option I could find with okay thermals and an appealing look. Thanks to gamer nexus for their review, was very helpful. The case looks great, cable management is a bliss.
The riotoro was the cheapest A tier psu I was able to find in this tier list
