Description

Hello, guys!!

I've been eager to upgrade my old PC [[AMD A10 7700K; GA-F2A78M-D3H; R7 370 4Gb VGA; 16 Gb (half dead) RAM]] for many months...

January of 2017 is when I set an account and start to gather some money each month... my original plan was to upgrade by the end of the year or Q1 of 2018... My dying dream was a 1080ti Strix... but F ME... mind you that I live in Brazil... and here we are paying as much as double or trice the USD price for components... And cryptocoin crazyness F me real hard...

So I downsized to a 1070... but was able to get a 7700K CPU and a beautiful Z270 Mark 1...

Swapped all my old led coolers with Noctua best coolers... with age comes wisdom I guess... lol... I know I should have gotten a bigger CPU cooler but my case was too small... as I'm a very lucky pearson... my case was so small that it would not fit the 1070 (3 coolers) either after bought... tears I've cried... and bought a new case, but similar size... because I would not buy another CPU cooler at the moment... Anyways... BUT my new build is as cold as my unrequited beloved heart... and I've already told I live in Hell de Janeiro, Brazzilll...

My friend helped me at building it as he knows best what hes doing... The cables don't look much organized.. but I really don't mind at all... :)

I'm in love with my new build... with my new PC... It works faster, colder, silenter that my old build and runs every game that I tried without a single drop of sweat... all maxed out...

My son is in the pictures... Ozzy! My 8 years old english cocker spaniel! <3

Reviews for custom parts:

OEX Speaker Booster Sk500 30w [4/5] - I've tried to add it to the site but a moderator told me it only accepts parts that are sold in those sites... this one is a brazilian speaker... it's a budget regular one... works good... but when you power up you have to press a button if you don't want static blowing your ears... UPS changed that... now its already always on...

Call of Duty: WWII [3/5] - Had great hopes for a "back to roots" COD... it bored me fast...

Battlefield 1 [3/5] - Had hard times trying to play it on my last build... in this one it runs like a charm... it did get me bored too...

Mass Effect: Andromeda [4/5] - Runs very smoothly in this build... very beautiful... my favorite game franchise ever... although EA / Bioware killed with this installment... RIP Mass Effect....

Star Wars Battlefront II [3/5] - Very beautiful... I'm not a fanboy.. and confess that I havent watched all movies... its a good game... but EA killed with its microtransactions and cards thing...

SMS Station II 800VA 115v [5/5] - My brazilian UPS... had to get one as where I live it occasionally have some power surges and flickering on & off... and I'm not about to throw away 1+ year of savings on very fff expensive parts away on the garbage... now its the thing that powers my entire build... working good so far... and as I' ve heard its noises... it has ALREADY saved my PC sometimes...

Funny Bonus: I'm a history major student, a 90's gamer enthusiast,... maybe a hipster... As my friend was helping me buy these parts, I told him to get me one case with a micro cards spot on the front... like an optical drive spot... because I was intending to have an 7700K Kabylake + 1070 Strix + Z270 Mark + Noctua coolers plus all other very expensive parts and a "Yes Why The Hell Not" 3 1/2 FLOPPY DRIVER!!!! YES!! ... it would have looked cool... but very unfortunately the case that I bought did not had this kind of slot.... (I'm aware it would not be possible to turn it on... but still... people are listening to LPs again... leave me be....) :p

Part Reviews

CPU

Super fast! Working very well at my new build! No heating problems here... the thing is cold even on load... using Noctua coolers... Have not tried OC yet... is lovely good without it anyways...

CPU Cooler

Very beautiful!! Keeps my CPU cold! Had minor issues while mounting... but everything went well afterwards... I know I should have got a bigger one for my 7700K... but my case size was very small... it is working great so far though...

Motherboard

Loved the military colors! This monster is powerful!! No regrets!

Memory

Doing good so far! Looks beautiful!

Storage

Saved from my past build... I know nowadays there are some SSD faster and bigger than this one... but this guy is still doing a good job... saved me some $$$....

Storage

Also saved from my last build... I'm aware there are better ones out there... but this one is still doing good... :)

Video Card

Had to downsize my investment for my build... was planing originally a 1080ti Strix... but money got short.... Found this one and... Boom! The thing is powerful! All games maxed out! Working lovely!

Case

Had to buy this case because the one I got was not big enough for the 1070 Strix... its not very different from my old Pixxo case.... got some nice red led... but I'm guessing this was an average budget choice... money was already short... its ok...

Power Supply

Was short on money,,, but thing is doing good so far! No problems!

Optical Drive

Oldest part at my new build... this guy is a war hero... served at many wars and was a part of many different builds... now its rarely used... (never?)... it jams almost every time... if I ever need to use a CD / DVD again, probably going to buy a new drive....

Operating System

Got it in an updated from my Windows 7... average good... 4 start out of 5 stars due some crappy configurations issues... at my old build it would always downgrade my AMD driver...

Software

Good improvement from my old Office 2010... a bit pricey though... was cheaper at retail store than Microsoft webstore... No DVD though... only keycard...

Software

Working good so far.,.. was using Avast at my old build... Hope my Russian friends won't hack me... lol...

Case Fan

What a tiny lovely little piece of a cooler!! <3 Looks like a small toy! No problems so far... Can't really hear it... but I hope its working over there... Very expensive in Brazil though... hahaha... But I simply HAD to get one since I found out my Z270 Mark 1 motherboard had a tiny spot for a small fan...

Case Fan

Not sure if this is the right model but it looks like this one... I got it as a stock at a SPEC02 Corsair Case... it has a led... its red... if its any good is beyond me.... left only this guy at my build... every other cooler is Noctua in my build....

Case Fan

This is a beast!! Super powerful!! Crazy airflow! People say its noisey? Well... I can't hear it on my build... and its doing great so far! Thanks Noctua! <3

Case Fan

Noctua for the Win! The Best Cooler out there!! ... yes i'm Noctua fanboy... <3

Monitor

Reminiscent from my past builds... Its big enough for my desk... cant get a much bigger one... It works well... Its an old friend... I dont mind its age,.,,

Keyboard

My lovely keyboard! I know, I know... it has quite some age now... but my teenager gamer years were on it... I'm not giving it away.,.. it's still woking so... I'll keep it...

Mouse

All my past mouse are Razer... this was the higher Dpi I ever got... It still works... although it has its occasional double right click... its a bit annoying.,.. but you survive... and yes.,. all my past Razer mouses had its double click issue someday...

Custom

Good little fellow... it's my 2nd Backup guy... works good...

I understand you put

The cables don't look much organized.. but I really don't mind at all... :)

But.. it is very easy to just route them through holes and in back, with this case.

In the grand scheme of things.. Not really a big deal.. But having a window and for improved air flow you should have wrapped them all through the back.
