Description

I started out wanting to do alot more than I have, and plan to upgrade this PC in the future. I put this computer together for my almost 12 year old son for him to game on. I literally just got this up and running, so we really havent downloaded anything as far as games yet, but I did run 3D Mark. It did about as well as I had expected it to. Without any tweaking, it got a 7316 overall. I havent done much before as far as overclocking, but running at 4.5GHz, it scored a 7463. Any imput and feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

He likes playing silly games, but also likes major title games like Battlefield series and COD. Im just unsure still of what the performance will be with these games. And rather than buying him a new console every time they come out with a new one, i told him this was going to be his new console. No more Xbox at 400 bucks a pop. I take it i did a good job picking parts then?

You did good. This build should be more than enough to run those games at good frames with high/max settings.

It's shocking sometimes how long it takes to come to PC gaming. I went through 5 Xboxes before showing up. No foreseeable need to go back.

Excellent build from a Father to Son. This should actually hold up well with new titles. IF you do get frames drops you could lower setting but this is definitely better than a console.

P.S- You should get ,Titan fall 2, Gears of war 4 and Shadow war 2 these are well optimized should run well.

that's pretty decent, but i would definetly going for something from intel, like a pentium g4500 if you get the money. or if you really want to stay with amd swap out the cpu for a 6300 or something like that. the 4350 is no doubt a decent budget CPU, but with kaby-lake coming up for intel (causing possible price drops for skylake chips), and the used deals you can find on beastly processors like the i7 2600, or AMD FX-8300 that machine can easily be upgraded on the cheap.

other than that great build! the only parent i know of other than you who is awesome in terms of computers is my dad. he's a 40 year old I.T guy who funded about half of my brand new build (i'm a sophomore in high school, so what do you really expect?)
