Description

The i7 runs at a turbo clock speed of 3.9 GHz as long as the 212 Evo can keep it cool. The GTX 970 is clocked at a modest 1504 MHz, and it is very stable. General cooling is handled by two Define R2 fans, which circulate air through the spacious Define R4 case. All prices are marked as dollars but were paid in Euro.

Part Reviews

CPU

Great performance for it's specs, and an obvious plus is the low power consumption.

Motherboard

Fantastic quality and appearance, and got it for a great price.

Memory

Great in every way, only the heat sinks are a bit large.

Storage

Was fooled by Kingston's solid reputation, this SSD does not match up to its similarly priced competition.

Storage

No complaints, solid in every way. Only it doesn't match my color scheme!

Video Card

The best 970 out there, but boy is it big.

Case

Fantastic case for a great price. Build quality and functions excellent.

Power Supply

Pretty much what one would expect, could maybe use a few more output slots though.

Monitor

Good price to performance ratio, although there are some minor quality issues like bleeding.

Mouse

Best mouse I ever used, wireless sensor works flawlessly. Only a bit heavy, but that's a matter of taste anyway.

Headphones

Not ideal gaming headphones, but a great compromise if you don't want to look like an alien pilot while wearing your headset on the bus. Very inconspicuous.

For a little more dough you can get an 850 Evo which is much faster.
