Yo, what kind of case is that? It looks pretty cool from the front.

  • 1 point

i dont know what case it is, i got it from my uncle and i think its from a prebuilt pc that had a pentium 4 in it but it sucks and only has usb1.0

  • 1 point

nah i can say for a fact that is usb 2.0 Usb 1.0 is a very old technology going back to windows 95 (released in 96) it was quickly replaced with usb 2.0. Pentium 4's weren't a thing until after 2000. take a flash drive and do a read write test. If it feels normal its usb 2.0. If it feels like burning to a cd would be faster then its usb 1.0

You can replace the front panel USB with this and maybe paint the inside of the case black.

Also I recommend adding some fans, too

  • 1 point

yeah i would change the front i\o but i dont like this case and it only has one 120mm case fan mount, the rest are 80mm, and there's no cable management so im going to go with a cougar mx 330 instead.

i also dont know how to take the front panel off

There could be clips some where to take them off, or screws. Also I suggest maybe give the case a second chance with a new life with the things I suggested above. It’s up to your. It’d be a cool sleeper/restomod.

there are clips! thanks, that would be cool

i will say this. i know you are ditching the case, but the difference between no fans to 1 fan is bigger then 1 fan to any number of fans. the main thing is you go from no circulation to some circulation. its still a cool case though, but i get why you would want to go to a newer case

I had a case similar to that a long time ago. I think it held my old Athlon 2200. I do hope you keep it & make any necessary mods to make it modern enough for your needs. but, I can understand if the case itself is too limiting. really good selection of parts & I hope they serve you well.
