this is an incredibly unbalanced setup. you really should have asked reddit to build one for you, or looked to a friend who knows more about this. a r3 1200 will be super slow when used with a gt 1030. not to mention, you decided to replace the stock ryzen cooler with a alpine passive (!) which will cause noticeable slow-downs. the most you want with that is maybe an athlon 200ge. you also decided to pair this with 32gb of ram, which will never be used with a processor and gpu like that, and a NVMe ssd. your build will be outdated within the next year. when you build your next one, make sure to consult with another user first.

best of luck! :)

For 1k you could do a lot better

I'm cringing hard right now. This is gonna be rough

Why replace the cooler with a passive one? The stock cooler is better and you would have enough money for a better gpu. Motherboard is something I would have chosen. Good. Ryzen runs so much better at at least 3000 mhz speed ram, and 32gb ram isn't needed since I know for a fact you won't be doing 4k video editing on this thing. SSD is fine but a tad expensive for me. GT 1030 is fricking trash and is gonna be outdated in a year. Case idc. Power supply idc. I know this doesn't have peripherals but this is one of the many 1k builds I have saved. I'm going to be blunt here. This is utterly painful to look at. WHAT WERE YOU THINKING? I'll run through all the parts in this system and go over what was good or bad with them. Firstly, your r3 1200 could have easily been the r5 1600 or 2600 for not much more. You would get more cores and performance out of any other CPU. The r3 1200 is an incredibly weak CPU and it isn't worth your money for a $1,000 build. I have no idea why you would go for an alpine fanless cooler, but if you want silence, go ahead. Your mobo is fine. But WHY would you opt for 32 gigs of RGB RAM?! That's ridiculous! Unless you're making 3d models or using this as a server (which I doubt), you easily could have saved $70 and went with dual-channel memory, 16 gigabytes in total. It would barely make a difference in your gaming experience or browsing. Your m.2 SSD is fine, but a little expensive. WHY WOULD YOU SPEND $200 ON A GT 1030 3gb?! You easily could have picked out a gtx 1050 or 1050ti for that same price point, or used that extra saved money for a gtx 1060 or even gone RTX, which would be much more balanced. The GT 1030 is a trash GPU and has a terrible amount of VRAM. The case is cheap quality, but I guess it's not the worse thing with this build. Your PSU is RGB... why? You have a PSU shroud you can't even see it. But once again not the biggest flaw here. You have a CD writer which is also outdated. Your wifi card is decent, but not worth $85. The peripherals are fine, but not for gaming or long term use. For your monitor, $300 is definitely too much to pay, but you didn't list the resolution, the refresh rate, the response time, or the type of panel, so I can't judge. What I do know is that you could a 1440p 120hz monitor for around the same price. This PC will easily be outdated in months. I'm shocked that you thought this was a good idea, and you need to consult somebody before you build another PC. Please make better choices next time.

faster RAM would be in order

a 1200 will be bored with a 1030, try a 560/570 instead.

that isn't a good PSU

This is my I3 (3 star) build:
