Hime PC

by Kamifushou

PC made for my 7 year old. The parts are way over kill for her but the CPU, RAM and AIO cooler were left over from upgrades made to my other PCs. The rest of the parts were just working around what I had. I bought the rest during 2017 black friday (so the total cost is definitely not what I paid). She does not need a GPU when she does not play any games. The parts were sitting for a while until I got around to customizing the case which was the biggest focus of this build.

She at least helped put some things in!

Did you do cutouts for the led birds? Looks are really awesome!

I designed the hummingbird/sakura and butterfly then cut it out of the plastic and steel side panel with a dremel. The backing is a plexiglass that I rotary sanded with 220 grit for uniform look. LEDs are behind linked to the motherboard to sync the colors with fans etc.

They really do look fantastic! The new pics do add something to the process. * _ *

The uniform look for the plexiglass is important. Lovely.

OMG! I am building my computer and purchased the same case. However, I have not put it together yet because I am still missing some parts (RAM, PSU, CPU Cooler). I am sooooooooooooooo going to paint my case like that! What color/paint did you used if you don't mind me asking? It looks wonderful & seen the girls building the computer filled my heart with joy! Great job sir!

I used spray paint from Home Depot (their carried brand might have changed though). Glossy candy pink and matte white for the inside. Then coated on outside with gloss automotive enamel and inside with a matte clear coat. According to internet advice always try to use the same brand so you get weird reactions. Also my mistake was not scuffing/sanding the existing coat enough so I got chipping. Here’s a good guide: https://youtu.be/nSqRpGHMDtw

It is more work but you’ll get a better cover if you take apart the case. Just take pics of where the rivets were to replace them!

She'll need that GPU soon. Very cool to get her involved.

I think you mean the cut outs? see above. I took the whole case apart to paint it otherwise and riveted it back again. Do wish I sanded the original paint better as I had to touch up a bunch
