Description

Hey, added another 360mm rad to the bottom of the case, and threw in six new ML120 pro's. I went with an RGB theme again because I cant decide on color scheme.

Everything was purchased at my local Micro Center (Duluth), where I happen to work Feel free to message me if you have any questions. Thanks so much PCPP Community :)

Looking good. If you want a nice color scheme, Purple and Yellow/Orange always works very well.

How is your refresh rate affected by your extra monitors? I have a PG279Q as well and I've been looking for a second monitor. I've heard Windows 10 has issues if your secondary monitor is a lower refresh rate and that G-Sync will cap your main monitor to that rate.

Have you noticed this issue?

no, when i'm playing games i'm getting 144 pretty consistently, iu have not had those issues

Interesting... Thanks for the reply.

You have to run the games on the first monitor in fullscreen, gsync shouldn’t have any issues since it variables with the framerate being provided to the monitor. It can’t see the other monitor(s).

Looks dope! BUT, IMO, I feel like an extended mouse pad would look better. Other than that, great job!

Does the 165hz monitor provide any noticeable differences between that and a 144 hz monitor?

any particular reason why u chose the code and not the hero ? I feel like the Code is in a hard spot between the formula for those looking to cool the VRMs or the HERO for those who do need the mosfet blocks unless theres some other feature that i am missing. thanks

i bought the board when i had no idea what the hell i was doing with my money, knowing what i know now i would get a formula. i do get very stable clocks on the board though, i love it

The Maximus Code is pretty much the exact same motherboard as the Formula without the waterblocks. Hell you might be able to add the Formula waterblocks to the Code.

You might lose some minor features (like the OLED display on the MXF vs MXC) but generally nothing serious.

The Hero looks worse than the Code tbh

yup I agree that the Hero would look worse if you don't do a vertical riser card and no monoblock on the board. Otherwise the gfx will cover half the board when placed vertically and the monoblock will replace the board heatsinks and will look much nicer : hero+riser+monoblock = better looking than maximus formula/code and may be about the same price.
