Description

Not all that long ago I upgraded from an i5-2500k to an i5-6600k and snagged a 1080. I told myself I was satisfied with that and wouldn't have to upgrade again for another few years..

Flash forward less than a year later and I wasn't satisfied with i5s anymore, the tempered glass and RGB fad got me excited, and I got a raise at my job. Now here I am.

I mainly use my PC for gaming, CEMU, and watching movies and TV from my Plex server. I used to work from home more often which was partly the reason I justified my ultrawide purchase, other than it being totally badass (being on sale for $650 was nice too). strikethroughIf there was one more thing I would still upgrade, it would be my RAM, but prices are crazy right now.strikethrough UPGRADED to Trident Z!

I completely forgot about the high temp issue on the 7700k before I ran out and bought it. strikethroughI think that has been my biggest hassle with this build is getting a nice overclock and managing to keep temps in a range I like without blasting my fans too high.strikethrough I ended up delidding and buying some MX4 thermal paste and my temps are wonderful now!

Hey, i have the same case. Your build is really excellent. I have one question, where did you install the front fans? Inside the case or on the outside of the front end? Thanks!

Outside. When they were inside the lights were blocked by the metal.

Thanks for replying. What do u do abt the dust then since u cant have magnetic filter if you install the fans at front?

I don't have too much of a dust problem inside the case really. I haven't checked the rad since I installed it though so I'm sure there's a little build up there.

I'm digging the whole decor more than the rig itself. I specially like the lamp and the desktop background that goes well with it.

Thanks! I guess that's some confirmation that I have achieved a true battlestation! I've also added a LIFX Z strip to the back of the desk now as well and found a way to have my lights all sync up to my desktop.
