Description

This is my first build.

I built this machine to run all the triple A titles on 1080p. I also decided to put as much RGB I could possible fit into my thermaltake view 31 case. Primarily suited for gaming, and also could be used for workstation purposes too. In order to achieve full potential with fitting as much RGB into the case, I replaced the default ML140 fans that came with the H115i cooler by Corsair and replaced them with the Riing 14 fans that came with the case. All the other fan slots were being occupied by either HD120s or an HD140. Since the case didn't come with any 5.25 inch bays, I decided to get an external Optical drive that sits on top of the case. This machine alone when complete, lit up my entire room without any lights turned on. Synopsis: This machine is a mid-range beast decked out in RGB for 1400 dollars.

Congrats on the build. I hope you get a lot of enjoyment out of it!

I have to ask though, why go with such expensive RAM? Is it just for the RGB? You could've gone much cheaper and put that money towards a GTX 1070.

I got the RAM first thing after I finalized my list because I was aware of the price skyrocket. The price of those specific RAM modules was 157 dollars at the time (Beginning of September)

Usually Builds decked out in lights are high end systems with a GTX 1070+ costing over $2000. This one costs $1600.

Is that the $10 mouse that was featured in LTT's recent mouse roundup?

Yes. As long as it clicks fast and feels good, I'm good.

Looks awesome! Those Corsair fans in front look sweet! Are they pretty quiet?

Yep they are! The thermaltake fans on the top are kinda loud though.
