Description

Hi, first of all thank you for looking at my build :3 My English is not very good, so sorry if i have some spelling mistakes. This build was a father-son project. I really like the way this turned out, but we had some problems....

When we turned on the pc, everything was fine, the fans were spinning, the gpu had a white LED and the cpu cooler was spinning too, BUT nothing appeared in the screen :( so i did some research... I did EVERYTHING that they told me in the forums like taking out the CMOS battery, reinstalling the gpu..etc etc

I was getting really mad and I thought that there was something wrong with the motherboard, so we took it to micro center and they said the motherboard was OK -___-

After a few days I decided to reinstall the CPU.. and i realized that the cpu was not in the right place.....-___- The gold arrow was not facing the right direction, so i took it out of the socket and looked if the pins were bent. THEY WERE !!! We went to the store to buy a new one.

Thanks to ComputerSaysNo and all the people that tried to help me with my problem :3 https://pcpartpicker.com/forums/topic/135457-pc-turns-on-monitor-wont-display-anythinghelp-please

^Forum topic^

I really enjoy my new pc, I use it for gaming and my dad watches netflix and works with microsoft word and other programs.

Sorry for the bad pics

Part Reviews

CPU

Fast, cheap, and 6 cores :3

Motherboard

Good for the price, the color is a bit ugly but it gets the job done.

Storage

I got this for 39.99 at micro center it makes a little bit of noise, but not too much.

Video Card

Fans are really quiet when you play, fans only spin when I'm playing gpu intensive games, like ARK and arma 3, fans dont spin when i play League of legends.

Case

Great case, nice room for cable management. it scratches easily. :(

Power Supply

500 w its good for me

Monitor

Cheap and awesome Asus monitor 1920 x 1080 :D :D

Keyboard

Great keyboard for 30 dollars. I like the way it sounds and the feel of it. The mouse makes a loud CLICK sound.

Headphones

AWESOME for 35 dollars good sound and decent mic. It makes my ears a little bit too hot when i play for a long time.

Wow, sorry to hear about those bent pins! I never had it the wrong direction when it comes to installing the processors. Both intel and AMD alike but I'm glad you got it figured out and replaced your processor. Again, very sorry it occurred, and we all had a fair share of human errors.
Your build looks good, your father-son build looks lovely and should serve you well! +1
P.S. - I too have that headset! :)

Match up the colors on those RAM sticks, ram slots 1 and 3, or 2 and 4. You'll get dual channel memory and a boost in performance.

Good catch. I should of turn up my brightness. I barely could see it since some dark images are not too seeable if I lowered my brightness. Yes, OP should relocate the RAM to the black dimm slots OR the gray dimm slots only.

Oh my god can people please stop buying 960s, they're worse than the 380 for the same money!

And should have got 6100 instead of fx 6300

I got the fx6300 because its cheaper, and I was on a budget. And I got the gtx 960 because I like Nvidia better.

Yes but that's just a stupid bias, the 380 is better in almost every way

I did not do a lot of research on AMD graphics cards, so I just got the best card that I could find for the price on the Nvidia side, maybe next time Ill be more careful and look at other brands, but for right now, I'm happy with my 960.

If you made a post on PCPP everyone would have made a build with an AMD card, NVIDIA is a ****** company, and the cards aren't even as good.

The only exception is if your getting a single 980 ti, ever other setup is trumped by an AMD card.

I don't agree, are you some kind of AMD fanboy or something ?

Every company has its Pros and cons and differences, like G-sync from Nvidia and Freesync from AMD. That's your opinion and I respect it.
