Description

Hi everyone ! After many years since my last high end build (an athlon x2 4800+ and a radeon x1950xt lol), I'm back on the track with this new rig. I targeted something that will give me the best performance as possible for only gaming, so it ended as described on the part list. I mostly play fps, and the hardest choice was the screen... I wanted an ultra wide, more than 60Hz and not very expensive, so the acer z35 won the match and for now I'm totaly satisfied. I limited the led and all the rgb stuff to only the main parts because I'm not a big fan of that (I know, if you the part list it's a bit ironic), but I admit I looks really cool, so I sticked to a black/red color theme for this build. The only feedback I would say is that I'm happy of my pc : every single part worth the money. Now place to the pictures :)

Why would you buy a 1080ti just to play at 1080p? You spent almost enough money on an obsolete monitor to nearly buy a Asus - PG279Q.

Regarding your display.

With the 1080Ti why didn't you go for an ultrawide 1440?

They go up to 100 Hz, similar price as the ultrawide 1080 you chose.

Well. Just curious, do you have a reference to tell me ? Because it took me a long time to make a choice and I also looked about 1440p ultra wide screen. Most the time they were more expensive than what I choose...

hi ! I hope I don't come too late ! the acer monitor is very good for me. since now I don't have negative points to mention except a small backlight on edges (in full black pictures only, most the time it's not noticeable) the gsync do a great job : no screen tearing, and when I play fps that requires fast reflex, the animation is all time smooth. for color and contrast, I don't think it's one of the best screen on the market but it's good enougth. the default settings look nice and I didn't change it.

Why didn’t you just go with a one terabyte ssd, rather than two 500gb ssds? Also where did you buy the you from, cause on amazon it’s almost 1k and Newegg is kinda... ya know.
