So long story short, I built my first PC 5 months ago, and while I loved the performance and building it, there were a couple things that I knew I wanted to change. Fast forward to now, I've made any changes that I wanted to know and I love how the computer looks. The pictures date from when I first started and then to present so as you can see quite a lot of changes have occurred. Sorry for the potato quality camera, its looks a lot better in person. So onto the parts:
CPU: This has been the same throughout, and I'm happy with its performance. Overclocked it to 3.7Ghz easily, probably can push it, but I don't really have a reason to.
Cooler: This was the stock Ryzen cooler for a while, but when a 240 AIO went on sale for 40, I just picked it up for the lols. Worked fine but ended up switching to the Cryorig Quad Lumi because of space constraints.
Motherboard: Have had this motherboard throughout the build and I don't have much negative to say about it.
Memory: Originally I had Corsair RGB but after hearing everybody rave so much about Trident Z RGBs I picked them up. The colors on the Corsair were better, but the addressable leds make these so much better.
Storage: 1TB HDD, works great, also glad I went with a m.2 ssd because it really helps with cable management. Interestingly after installing my ssd my HDD light is now permanently on.
GPU - Originally had a Zotac mini 1060, was a great card but I really wanted a zero fan option. When I saw the Strix 1060 on sale for cheaper than I bought the Zotac card for, easily jumped on that.
Case: Mixed emotions on this case, has OK airflow, but don't buy if you want to fit lots of stuff into it. Cable management is really a nightmare. Looks really good though.
Fans: the software for the Riing RGBs isn't great and I don't like the control box, but other than that high quality fans.
Peripherals: Overclocked the monitor to 75hz no problems, love the keyboard, mouse and headphones
