Description

This is a gaming machine. I built it kind of under a budget, trying to keep it close to $1000. It is a huge upgrade from my Gateway laptop (Intel Core 2 Duo 1.7 Ghz, 4 GB upgraded to 8 GB, Intel HD Graphics). I don't play any hugely demanding games, the most demanding probably being Space Engineers or KSP. I got the CPU and MB as a package deal. I have since bought a Cooler Master CMStorm keyboard and a Mazer E-Blue mouse, both of which are really nice so far.

My only complaints: the case has no dust filters, which would be nice. Also, the case fans that I bought are wicked loud. I only have one installed and you can hear it all the way across the house.

For reference, 4 stars means I have no complaints.

I don't have necessarily accurate temps for load, given that I don't really strain it too much, and I haven't even noticed what my GPU load temp is.

I'm still working on cable management. When I get that all sorted, I'll be able to post some.

Nice build. Some Noctua case fans will get rid of the noise.

I'm also using this case (for first time build) what did you do for fan placement?

Off the top of my head, I know I put one extra at the front. I think I put my other one on the bottom. The case is pretty well ventilated, so I wouldn't worry about having any more than one extra fan, probably at the front.

No, I haven't installed an update. I will say that overall on the build, the graphics card especially is starting to show its age on newer games.

MY NAME IS [see title]

It seems awesome, but the only thing I'd say is that you could likely have used an AMD Kaveri CPU and gotten some better performance.
