Description

Built this computer for all my gaming and school needs. Works brilliantly on skyrim and assasins creed and wont dip below 50 on ultra on either.

Yes, I got the motherboard in a combo with my case for $80 off, it didn't actually cost $20. I may soon invest in a better cooler as soon as I can afford one and will then begin any sort of overclocking.

Update: Now playing at 1440p w/ a Zotac Gtx 980

you have vents on the bottom of your case. you should mount your psu the other way. you can hide your cables easier that way

Really good for the price. Too bad for no SLI or Xfire support but this is really good anyway!

I knew I was giving up crossfire/SLI when I bought the motherboard though the offer was too much to pass up.

Yeah man(or gal), for that price you made a killing. Might be worth investing in a 1920x1080 monitor since your gpu is fully capable of handling it.

I'm not sure about OP's preferences, but I actually think 1600x900 is the perfect resolution if you want to max out games on a gtx 760. I used a 770 on 1600x900 because i wanted to max out crysis 3 and the constant 60+ fps on graphically intensive games was worth the trade off of lower resolution.

I have a gtx 670, like the OP, and I would deffo choose higher resolutions as long as I'm above 45/50 fps. I feel like the game looks better on medium settings at 1920x1080 than on ultra at 1600x900. Personal preference I suppose.

Great prices, you could tuck some of the wires back behind your MOBO a little more so it looks nicer. Overall, great build!

I dont know if i would have gone with only a 32gb ssd. Windows is going to fill up at least half of that if not more. and any other apps or games that you want to put on there will fill it up quickly. when it gets full it wont run as fast. for like 60$ more on sale you could have gotten a 120gb samsung ssd. But other than that its a nice first time build.

Most of your specifications are the same as mine, except that I've got an AMD FX-8350 8-core processor, and of course, an AMD mobo!

How much did Windows fill up on that SSD? Do you recommend it to put windows on it and use another standard Drive for Media/Games and what not? I am a nub.

Windows filled a good amount I have only 2 gigs left on it you should really get a 64 gb

Hey by any chance are you running at stock setting for all your parts cause i really like you build but i dont get why you choose to use stock fan for cpu instead getting a cheap coolermaster cpu fan cooler or even the Corsair H100i, and why not go GTX 760 instead or 670 price difference shouldnt be that huge

  • 1 point

I dont have money for a cooler, also, the 670 is better then the 760 for gaming and I got it 50 dollars cheaper

  • 1 point

haha i was just wondering i really enjoy the price of the build considering the fact im trying to go for a budget build myself.

Nice!, I do recommend the 670 if you see it for $200

I was looking at a several other build and i was think about the r9 270x because i thought amd might go nice with a radeon gpu and still being able to run a budget build

Do what fits you best, but price to performance is always the wsy to go

It seems you have a very powerful processor but a waek-ish GPU. Could be better but not bad. Why did you get a 32gb SSD? Sale or free? Otherwise nice build.

It's an $800 dollar build dude not a super high end 2k+ build. The 670 beats the 760 which is a great mid range card.
