Description

Last time I built a computer, Windows ME was a thing. Since then, I've been an Apple dude. Two MacBook Pros later, I was debating on what to do. Buy a maxed out MBP that was one year old, with a deep discount, build a Hackintosh, or due a gaming build. I also have not done crazy gaming in many many many years.

I started searching this forum and stuck to the Magnificent Gaming Build under the Build Guides. I made some changes to the items I thought were relevant to me. Also took some good deals during NewEgg's and Amazon's Black Friday sales to keep costs "lower".

I do some heavy photo and video editing so I am going to take advantages of the video card, CPU, and RAM power.

Had to watch some "how to build a PC videos" to get an idea of what's on first, who's on second, etc... Instructions that come with some of these parts are also questionable, therefore thanks to all of you who do YouTube tutorials.

The last time I replaced an OS was with my MBP. Took about 90 mins to upgrade to the latest/greatest shade of MacOS. It took 8 minutes to do a fresh windows 10 install from a USB 3.0 stick. I thought something was wrong and couldn't be true. But it was.

Everything seems to be right on point and working as expected. This thing is a beast.

11/30 - added add'l pics and a Cinebench BM. Thanks for all of the support and welcoming words!

Kudos to PC Part Picker for helping me to expand my vision!

Hey, what monitor mount are you using? I've been looking for one for mine. It's so hard to find one for a 34" that's reasonable on pricing.

And I understand that both are not resonable on pricing

ehhh id rather buy another 34" ultrawide with that money and mount them to the wall myself, lol. Thanks man!

Duh. Too late at night and misread your note. It’s a dual monitor stand I’ve had for about 4 years now. I tucked it away for a while and brought it out. Took off one of the arms and the base is next to the case. The manufacturer is NYCCO (?). It’s super solid and my Amazon order from back then states that I paid $44 for it.

This is a fantastic build and it looks amazing, but just wondering why you don't have a mousepad? Aside from that, amazing job once again, especially for a first build in a while.

Thanks. In all honesty, I totally forgot the mouse pad. Was too focused on other components. On order and thanks!!

I just love how minimal and clean that set up is. And with a beast of a PC too. Amazing build, man.

We're proud to have you back in our PC domain, brother. :)

How is your RAM? I want 32GB but got the wrong type at first and having to return to get something compatible.
