My friend Nick's first gaming PC, starting out strong with a 6th gen i5 and a GTX 970. Originally was going to have an RM650i, but after having to return the first one, and then the 2nd one not working either, I just stuck my old 500 watt PSU in it.
A great CPU to buy if you're looking for a good amount of power for gaming, and/or you need to buy something cheaper before you upgrade to a more powerful i7. Mine had a bit of an issue with temperatures reading correctly, but the CPU still works great.
Motherboard works exactly as planned, has a nice BIOS, and I love the look of it.
Good, affordable low profile RAM. It gets the job done.
One of the only SSD options that were available to me at Fry's. I think I probably could've found something with a better price, but nonetheless, this SSD works good.
A great hard drive for gaming purposes.
A great card if you're wanting to jump into the enthusiast realm of graphics cards. My friend originally had this in his PC but has since donated it to me because he upgraded to a 1070. I've been enjoying high to ultra graphic settings at 1080p ever since. Only thing I dislike about it is the fans on mine are quite loud compared to the 960 i upgraded from.
A pretty good case for $60. Nice big side window, and a pretty sharp design.
This power supply has worked great, and has lasted me around 3 years now. I didn't even realize until making this completed part list that it's not even 80+ bronze. But oh well, it gets the job done.
