Description

I used to have to play counter strike at 60 fps and I needed an upgrade. It took 5 months or so to build this and now I'm getting 400-500 fps and its great.

One huge regret I have is not getting the 6600k. But the non-k is working just fine.

Peripherals were both easy choices. The G403 is the best FPS Gaming mouse according to yt.com/RocketJumpNinja, and the keyboard was non backlit with Cherry reds. Both I am satisfied with.

I have not purchased the 144hz monitor yet (going to go with the BenQ XL2411z). Don't mind the monitor I selected at the bottom.

Nice build, love the photos. But this build seems somewhat 'overkill', in a sense, if you only play CS:GO.

You don't need an unlocked processor . Instead of the EVO you should have gotten at least a 120gb SSD for your OS. Your power supply is way overkill. An EVGA 500 Watt is good enough for even an enthusiast rig. With some of those savings you could'e gone up to something like an RX 470 or RX 480 which would've been a much better choice. But for your needs it all works just fine. Your GPU will bottleneck your CPU eventually though. Great job! :) I'm just nit picky.

Why did you get 16 gigs over 8? Also you should get an Ssd

Yeah after the 144 hz monitor I will buy an ssd. I got the 16 gigs of RAM just because I could.

A bit overkill for just CS:GO on some parts, but better over than under probably. I quit cs about a year ago and sold all my skins, how's it holding up?

I like the nature shots from outside too, and that desk is pretty cool.

300-500 fps but it really doesn't matter because I don't have a 144hz monitor :/ Yeah, I was a bit unsure if I should up load the nature shots, but everyone seems to like them. You might not believe this, but I bought the desk for $10 with two legs missing. I then made the two legs and now it looks great.

I always appreciate seeing the wider environment people have their set-ups in. Your's looks like a particularly zen place to play cs. And sick deal on that desk, well done!

Also I meant how's cs:go holding up as a game, sorry if that wasn't clear. I played 1.6 as a teenager and then source, so cs always calls to me with nostalgia that I have to try and resist or else I'll get sucked in again.

If you want to know my rank I am Legendary Eagle, but I stopped playing match making when I got global. I now just mainly play 5v5s and FACEIT, but I will buy ESEA when I get a 144hz monitor.

Spends extra money on RAM and a CPU Cooler but doesn't bother to get an SSD LUL

I'm destroying with 300-400 fps. Would it really make a difference if I bought an ssd?

You need to play CS with a 144-165hz monitor cause your playing a different game without it!!!!
