Description

This is my current rig that I built for myself back in late 2014. It was love at first sight with the Rosewill Legacy U2 case. This computer was especially exciting, because this was my first Mini ITX build, and I remember looking forward to the challenge. The Gigabyte GTX 970 ITX is the perfect graphics card for anyone with an extra-compact build. The ASUS mobo has held up great and the built-in wifi is a much appreciated space saver.

Mini ITX.

Yup, you get a +1 from me just because of the small form factor! :D

ITX builds are my favorite, maybe because i'm biased, maybe because they don't look like giant pre-Cylon systems :| +1!

Agreed. Most ATX cases just look flat out obnoxious. Although it's coming around. I've noticed the major brands are starting to put more thought into the design and feel of their cases, which just gets me more excited to keep tabs on that industry.

Awesome build. I suggest u can add a fan at bottom. I am using u3, the Matx one. I put two 120mm intake fan with filter at bottom to get better airflow and dustproof.

D'aww, is so cute! I love it, cable management looks like it was a little difficult but it still looks clean. Solid parts selection for sure, I myself also have the 4690K haven't gotten around to overclocking it, but I may try at the end of the school year to reach a solid 4.0 GHz, if my temperatures don't get too high that is.

Questions

Speaking of temperatures, I'm curious as those which you achieve in this build. Most of the interest stems from the internal exhaust cooler (assuming it is).

When you upgrade (assuming you do) would you be jumping to a Fury Nano? It seems like the enclosure would be a bit small for a GTX 980 Ti.

CPU temps are about 30C idle / 55C load

I just found out about the Fury Nano thanks to you. The price is a bit high for me but it certainly looks good for sure.

Cable management is quite delightful for a case that size!

That Enermax cooler takes up most of your case, looks like a damn monster in there.

How much measuring did you need to do to get it all fit so snug?

P.S. Love the globe +1

I just utilized the measurements provided on the online spec sheets of the components to ensure everything would fit properly. The Enermax cooler is def my second favorite part of this build besides the case itself.

Thumbs up.

After seeing your build, this is the case I want for my parents pc. Know of anyone still selling them?

I didn't realize we had a subset of Master Races, within the Master Race itself!

Oh, and +1 to the OP because I love how compact and clean the build is. I didn't realize how small it actually was until the last pic.

There is some space behind the PSU to hide excess cable length. Otherwise, just the small area towards the front of the case. A fully modular PSU is mandatory.
