Description

I built this computer for gaming more specifically for all the new games coming out in 2017. I wanted to push Ultra settings at 1440p and have some nice eye candy. I've been playing Mass Effect Andromeda on Ultra and it is super smooth 60fps and temps never get close to 70 degrees C even after running for 10 hours straight.

Mass Effect Andromeda

How are those facial animations looking?

LOL I've been seeing all the talk about this and really doesn't bother me yes it's disappointing for a AAA title to have these small hickups but it's a really good game. I find the weird animations pretty entertaining to be honest.

This actually looks like one of my favourite builds, it gives a clean and simplistic feel while maintaining a realistic look and not having two GTX 1080's in SLI mode. I just wish the price tag would be cheaper to appeal to a wider crowd but other than that I am really digging the desk with the nice wood look against your green plant it gives a good feel to both!

That's a Z270 Strix from Asus. I'm pretty suer that it has an onboard RGB header on it so you shouldn't need the Hue. Otherwise, this is beautiful!

How do you like the Kraken?

I love it. When I first installed it I had a few issues though, I felt it wasn't properly on the cpu even when I fully torqued the screws when I first booted I noticed higher idle temps then I felt comfortable with about 60 at idle and above 80 at load. I took it off wiped the stock thermal paste and applied some new and it ran like intended. 35 degrees idle in silent mode I have never seen it go past 67 degrees at full load or after 10hrs of gaming. And that's just in silent mode. Performance mode is slightly louder but nothing you'll ever here if you have speakers running or a headset on.

its great i love it the clicks of the keys are a little loud but it comes with a removal tool for the keys and you can order an o ring kit should make it a little quieter, i haven't gotten them though.

is the keyboard good?

the clicks are pretty loud but not too bad i wouldn't want to use it if someone is sleeping. And the only down side is its not for gaming if you hold a key down like the up arrow for instance it doesn't think of it as a key press and hold but it takes it as you pressing it really fast over and over so that sucks

I seriously love the monitor I did have a small issue at first were I'd have my displayport hooked up and only hdmi would work but I just unplugged it and plugged it back in after a minute and I never had an issue since. 144hz is a noticeable difference over 60hz. Color is good I'm no expert but it runs really well.
