Description

My co-worker wanted to build a machine that could handle our everyday operations of running Advanced Steel AutoCAD and similar software that has 3D rendering. This machine is a beast, and the colors make it like either a storm trooper or a yeti... I prefer the yeti... much more dangerous and intimidating...

Sorry... we have already broken them down and separated them. It turned out to be too much landscape. we were having to physically turn from side to side to view edge to edge... would probably be great for gaming but not for what we are doing....

That's a sick build! I'm rocking the same color scheme and designated the same name for my rig lol. My roommate is an engineering major though and wishes he had a system with a 1080 for all of his software they make them use so he didn't have to rely on the schools resources. That machine probably plows through autoCAD like its nothing.

Why did you spend $6,000+ and you went with two 1070s instead of two 1080s?

Odd decision but good build none the less

When comparing the price point per performance, I thought the jump in price to 1080's did not cover the slim increase in performance...

you spent 2000$ on two 60hz monitors thats going to be choppy when you couldve spent 600$ for 2 144hz monitors thats kinda weird.

I saw the price and as shocked but after reading why you built it that makes sense. I have used autoCAD as I am currently going to college to be an engineer(probably electrical but maybe civil) It can run on alright on mid tier hardware but it is so much more smooth once you get something with more than 4 threads and something with great instructions per clock. I think the 64gb of ram might have been a little over kill but I dont know as well as you. anyways great build.
