Description

This is the fifth upgrade of my 'Project Sagarmatha' PC build. I use it for everyday use and casual gaming. Unfortunately, over the past year the Mayhems Pastel coolant has changed color from red to purple, ruining the theme of the build.

Part Reviews

CPU

Great processor at the time I bought it, and still is. Nicely overclockable and I've never had a problem with it.

Motherboard

Got this motherboard to replace one I accidentally fried. Tasteful red accent lighting for my build, but may be a problem with other color schemes.

Memory

Never had any problems, goes well with my build, and can be overclocked well.

Storage

Nice little cheap SSD that I use as a boot drive. Never had one die or fail on me.

Video Card

A great GPU that will hold a solid 60 fps on any game and any setting on 1080p. Absolutely no complaints.

Power Supply

Nice modular PSU. Cables braided slightly distastefully.

Monitor

Slight backlight bleed. Besides that, no problems.

Keyboard

I have this keyboard with mx browns and I absolutely love it! The tactile feedback and sound are great, and I've never had a problem.

This PC looks like a super villain's final form. What case did you use? I don't see it listed.

I have the same GPU, love it. Your build looks great, but i have to ask... Why drop the money for a high performance build and only have 1 gpu? It seems like your PSU can handle a second 980ti. If not, maybe sell it, and buy 2 gtx 1080s. Also i'd recommend a larger display, with two gpus, you can easily handle 3440x1440 at 100hz (ACER Predator). Just have your current monitor as a secondary monitor. Just my recommendation, because it seems like you have the money for something greater.

Woah, dude that's way too overkill, his build is fine right now, 1080p gaming is perfectly fine, hell, i have a 1080 and I use 1080p for that amazing performance.

I'm saying spending 4 grand for 1080p is overkill. He should go to 3440x1440 or 4k with that sort of money

Shouldn't you be changing your fluid every six months?

SMA8 deserves 2 res's. One for CPU and the other for GPU/s. Which means another rad and pump. Do IT!

No GPU water cooling? You certainly have enough to pul it off

That is blood red! Very good indeed. You are probably spanking the crap out of that monitor though. Maybe go for something a little higher pixel count to really fill in the blanks. 35 inch or so. Don't need to squint you know?

Is the monitor nice? I am thinking of getting the monitor for my upcoming GTX 970

Yeah, it's great. It really improved the experience, and if you have the horsepower, you won't regret it.
