Description

Made for gaming and streaming. This is my most completed and recent build and it suits my setup. This build features the new corsair h100i platinum special edition that is white. Also with their new LL120 RGB white fans. This black and white theme is what i feel comfortable with and it matches my gaming setup.

Part Reviews

CPU

Cheaper and best bang for the buck when it comes to price - performance. I went AMD over intel due to pricing. I got some of my parts of this build from Walmart since i have a discount with them so i save even more money from them.

Got this for $280 total on Walmart after taxes and discount. Plus, i have sold the included wraith prism for 120mm aio for $50. So, it is like i got the cpu for $230.

CPU Cooler

Barely got it but so far it's going decent for my rtx 2080 gpu. Some minor tweaks needed here and there for perfection :D

CPU Cooler

BEST AIO EVER IMO! I was excited to see this after leaked images on amazon. After CES, i instantly bought it to match my color scheme. So far it is perfect and i bought a 3 pack LL120 fans for the setup.

Motherboard

Best mini itx motherboard you can have for ryzen cpus. But my only major downside (maybe it's just something i can fix myself) is the boot time. I have nvme boot drive and it should have booted my pc within seconds. Sadly, i have to wait 20 seconds on black screen till i see the asus logo. Again, maybe it's something in the bios i can adjust to resolve this issue or maybe i should reinstall windows 10 UEFI (i did normal install i think?). But it is great to have for bother 2600x or 2700x ryzen chips and may look forward to Ryzen 3000 series.

Memory

Great corsair product and i chose this over the cl16 hynix version. I rather have samsung b-die because amd ryzen benefits from faster memory. I use the bios setting to get 14-14-14-?? (i forgot) with DOCP standard oc. Great rgb lightning and great performance so far. Maybe this is the right ram for this cpu and motherboard? My only complaint is WHERE IS THE WHITE VERSION of this exact ram?

Video Card

Removed the cooler because it was a bit thick and got too hot during games. Especially in this case. Removed the stock cooler for 120mm aio.

Case

One of the larger mini itx cases. But i am glad i got the size for it because cable management was a b*tch! With all those corsair cables, room in the rear was good to have. Good space and great cooling performance.

I just wish this case was adjusted to where the psu shroud was lower and the frame above the motherboard higher to allow a 2nd 240mm aio.

Power Supply

I honestly don't like the stiffness of these stock cables but i might replace them with custom length and sleeved cables from cablemod in the future. For now, i got the 600w psu to supply power to 2700x and rtx 2080 both overclocked.

Case Fan

Excellent fans to have with the theme going on. I use 2 exhaust in the rear and top, and the 3rd on the radiator for pull. Total of 5 fans in this case.

Custom

Great to have in order to convert your compatible gpu from stock to aio cooler. So far temps are great. I might have to adjust the cooler again for 100% contact and better performance.

Love your build. ♥ Especially the effort to fit all in a Mini ITX :O

I got a question: I'm also interested on the Corsair H100i RGB PLATINUM SE, but does require Corsair's commander pro or Lighting Node Pro, in order to have and control the RGB?

I know the pump has a micro usb to internal usb + a sata cable + a dual 4 pin headers to connect the two fans and i think it has also 2 rgb headers to connect to the cables from the two fans as well, am i right? I think with all of this, you can control rpm and rgb.

Have you tried any games in it yet? If so, what were the frames like?

So far black ops 4 and I get high fps 1440p. Sometimes as high as 175 FPS.

Hi,

How is the performance/stability of the graphics card so far ? and do you play on daily basis ?

Thanks

I play all the time on the weekend. I kinda wish I have gotten the rtx 2070 super for higher performance in fps and my streams. But the 2060 super is perfect for price to performance on the budget. So this is what I am using. So far it has been great. Great temps too!

Nice looking build! Were you irritated with where they put the HD Audio header on the X470 Strix?! I sure was with my build. rolls eyes

  • 1 point

Yeah at first because of cable management. But if it helps in boosting for better audio, I’m ok with it.

Nice build! I'm always afraid to pull the ITX trigger :P smallest i've gone was MATX.

Quick question -- did you grab the cooler from corsair's website or from amazon?

  • 1 point

Corsair because other retailers will have them in February. I kinda wish I had the msi b450 mortar titanium white motherboard and 280x or nzxt h400 case (mAtx) white since there is not X470-I white motherboards.

But the thing is there I've looked everywhere and I can't find that msi board in stock lol

It’s somewhat easy. It was my first time Opening a gpu and replacing a cooler.

When I cheak the part list they said that’s doesn’t fit.. do you take another part to fit them all?

Which part didn’t fit?

Potential incompatible : 1. Corsair - SF 600 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular SFX Power Supply and NZXT - H200 (White) Mini ITX Tower Case are not compatible.

  1. The Corsair - H55 57 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler may require a separately available mounting adapter to fit the Asus - ROG STRIX X470-I GAMING Mini ITX AM4 Motherboard.

  2. Unable to verify the NZXT - H200 (White) Mini ITX Tower Case has sufficient mounting depth to support the Corsair - H55 57 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler 120mm radiator.

The sf600 can fit in any case as long you have the bracket. It's made for SFF cases such as dan case and louqe ghost, etc. But you can use ths psu on any case as long you have the length of the cables and the SFX to ATX bracket to mount it in the case.

And the reason it's showing that error for the AIO is because it only needs one. I use a 2nd for my gpu and it can be mounted on the rear with no problem. It sees as if you are using multiple AIO for the cpu instead of gpu.

So were the stock cables long enough or did you need the extensions you used? I already have an SF600 and want to use it with this case. Love the build man. Mine will be super similar so it is great to see how everything will go together.

Thanks. And I am using extensions. I do plan on getting custom cables in the next month when I get my taxes.

If I’m correct than I’m seeing rgb strips on the inside of your pc. If so where can I purchase those for my pc?

I got mine from Amazon. These are corsair lightning node pro rgb strips.

How did you control everything that needed a usb header? Did you get NZXT's internal hub?

  • 1 point

Yeah. I debated this over commando pro because of price.

  • 1 point

Sick build! I noticed you are using 5x fans.

Did you need to purchase a fan hub to use that many fans? Or are you running splitters to pair multiple fans on a single 4-pin header on the motherboard?

  • 2 points

2 fans connected to aio, 2 fans connected to sys fans and one fan connected to cpu header.

Hi, nice build but why your temps are this high ? I have the H200 too with 2 AIO using the Kraken g12. My temps are 55c for cpu and 50c for gpu under load. Actually, your temperature were mine before I did upgrade my setup with watercooling.

  • 1 point

I think I have a faulty gpu. I am actually going to RMA ship it Sunday. I placed back the stock cooler for gpu and temps were back to 88c. So it’s probably a bad gpu.

Are the corsair ll120 rgb white case fans noisy? I looked at the rpm's it says 2200 which seems very high.

Did you ever check with the stock cooler to see if can fit?

Worried about using the Corsair H55 Cooler over an i5-9400F in the exact same case, also planning of throwing a GTX 1660 Ti in. Currently not sure how compatible this all will be (physically inside the tower, I know dealing with the BIOS update’s not gonna be fun already plus some).

Nevertheless, the spectacular build makes me consider raising my budget. Love it!
