Description

Hey there, thanks for visiting my build. I will be updating to better pictures soon.

I had a Z97 build but decided to upgrade due to some complications with my motherboard. I had the 2 970s from the last build, I think I will upgrade to a single Hybrid 980ti before 2015 ends. I still have to do some cable management and change one of the original radiator fans to a LED fan.

Edit: Now using a ROG Swift monitor.

Oh yeah! One gigabyte G1 Gaming looks good - but Two? Oh man that looks awesome!

mxvz submitter 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

Thanks mate!

garytee 2 points 43 months ago

Sweet build mate! Imagine this with Raiden ram damn. What cpu did you upgrade from?

mxvz submitter 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

You are gonna laugh, i7-4790k. Have my reasons though, my motherboard died and I had some money so I said fakit, going to upgrade now.

SpecificAlduin 2 Builds 1 point 43 months ago

Can I have your old 4790K? Pls man.

mxvz submitter 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

I'm about to list it on ebay? Do you really want to buy it ? xD

SpecificAlduin 2 Builds 1 point 43 months ago

How much?

mxvz submitter 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

About $280, I haven't listed it yet. Probably will do it on Monday.

Hostility 1 Build 2 points 43 months ago

Damn! This build looks sick! Can't wait for the new pics :) Also, that GPU sag screws with my OCD, even though it shouldn't harm them.

mxvz submitter 1 Build 2 points 43 months ago

I know, I haven't tried using something to hold them straight.

Hostility 1 Build 2 points 43 months ago

It shouldn't harm the GPU's, but I have the same card, and I just used a pencil to hold it up xD

mxvz submitter 1 Build 2 points 43 months ago

Will give it a try and maybe an eraser for the space between the cards lol

iiburtHD 2 Builds 2 points 43 months ago

nice build bro, what kinda games you into?

mxvz submitter 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

Right now I'm really into Mad Max, but I play a lot of games. Examples, Euro truck sim 2, battlefield 4, gta V, rocket league, insurgency, arma 3...

philphaser 12 Builds 2 points 43 months ago

I still have to do some cable management

PREACH!…looking forward to the pictures of the finished build. Anyways already +1.

mxvz submitter 1 Build 2 points 43 months ago

Thanks mate! Will update foo shuu.

inCyanity 1 Build 2 points 43 months ago

Same build look at mine _^. I suggest you take off the blue led fans it kills the white theme.

well done

mxvz submitter 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

I've also thought about that, but I never do it... Thanks for the advice tho.

TechyinAZ 14 Builds 2 points 43 months ago

Looks pretty!! Why you going to a single 980 ti? Aren't twin 970s just as fast?

mxvz submitter 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

Thanks! Yes they are, but for the sake of temperatures and compatibility, a single 980ti will be my next big upgrade. Not any 980ti tho, it shall be the lightning or the EVGA hybrid, maybe even the Galax HOF with all of its white glory.

Apollo5C 2 points 43 months ago

Sweet build! Couldn't be better. +1

mxvz submitter 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

I think it could, with a 980ti or two. :D Thanks m8

love this looks amazing. Hoping to get 2 Gigabyte GPU's for mine as well. Any tips with those cards?

mxvz submitter 1 Build 2 points 43 months ago

Well as always, if you are running SLI the top card will always run hotter. Just make sure you have enough air coming in and out of your case, also for the Gigabyte G1s make sure you have enough space to fit them. I was using an H440 case before and I had to remove some of the bays in order for them to fit. Good luck!

noap7 2 points 43 months ago

How easy was it to get a hold of the i7 6700k? Can't find one anywhere...

mxvz submitter 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

It wasn't too easy, I had to wait until pre orders were open and then I had to wait for like almost 2 weeks to receive one.

Wazaaaaaa!

StealthRaider 1 point 43 months ago

Love this build.... still like the h440 more as a case though. Nice Build!

mxvz submitter 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

My last build had a red/black theme, I still have that H440.

ConsoleGamer911 1 point 43 months ago

Got any links to that old build?

mxvz submitter 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

I have the parts list here: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/zDwmMp I erased the completed build with all the likes and comments because I didn't know how to create a second build lol.

randomguy99 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

Are you planning on SLI 980tis

mxvz submitter 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

If I do upgrade to a single 980ti, in the future for sure. But not planning to buy two at the same time.

InfamousMEE 1 point 43 months ago

benchmarks?

mxvz submitter 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

Haven't done any benchmarks yet. I'm still in the process to overclock my CPU, I have it at 4.6Ghz right now, but I haven't scratched the surface yet.

tylerdavison 1 point 43 months ago

go $150 for the 4790k and throw in a gold plated invicta sea spider watch. idk if youre into watches but yeah lol.

mxvz submitter 1 Build 2 points 43 months ago

No way Jose, lol. Thanks but I'll pass, I need the cash.

thenrycoop 1 point 41 months ago

I'm going to be going SLI 970s with the rog swift and was wondering you are having any problems with not enough Vram since I've been told that.

Syberzero 1 point 38 months ago

Hey man i know this is late and all but what custom PSU cables did you use? I'm doing a black and white build and plan on using the snow silent 750w or 1000w PSU.
